Big fan of the first movie, had not seen this before I bought it. Got it during a Black Friday deal for pickup at the store, and the cost was worth it. The movie was just as freaky as the first, with an entity that was even creepier than the Annabelle doll in the first movie. Not a 5-star rating, but 4.5 would be more accurate. Looked great on my home theater and the digital copy allows me to watch it whenever and wherever.

Ed and Lorraine Warren travel to Enfield, England to help a mother, whose daughters are being terrorized by an entity. A very creepy follow-up to the original movie, The Conjuring. Both, Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga are excellent in their respective roles.

My god, this movie was nuts. I'm 41 years old and have been watching scary movies pretty much all my life. I don't scare easily, but this movie? Holy cow, was it ever terrifying. There were several times I had to look away, and some points even that didn't do it either. All in all a very good movie, a must for all horror fans. Well worth it.

The Conjuring 2 was a little longer than The Conjuring, but it didn't disappoint! They tied Ed/Lorraine Warren to the Amityville Horror nicely in the beginning of the movie. From there, it got creepier and creepier! Great movie, can't wait to see The Conjuring 3 in Sept, 2020.

The Conjuring 2 doesn't waste time in bringing the scares in, you're pretty much in the thick of it within three minutes or so! In my opinion, this one is as strong as the first. I really enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone who enjoyed the original, or just likes movies of a haunting or possession theme. Really, really great watch!

This is one of those few sequels that is nearly as good as the original. I loved the first Conjuring movie, as far as horror/scary movies go it was top notch... Conjuring 2 brings us a new story and some new creeps as well. Its really a shame that more movies in this genre can't be as well done as both of these movies have been.

Horror tries to be original with minimal gore scares but racks up the sound in place of it. Though the real characters they portray were hardly any thing as they are presented, Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga are the heart of this story and make a compelling couple. The story is based very loosely on real events so much has to be taken with a grain of salt. Still it's well made and fine acting by all.

I still think the 1st Conjuring was better, but this film is enjoyable and has all the right horror elements. I purchased after watching via rental, so good enough to watch again, that's the only way I actually buy films to add to my collection. The film has to be worthy of repeat viewing over of the years from time time!

It was a good scary movie it made me jump a couple of times I recommend watching this one.

I don't typically buy movies anymore now except for a few must have classics not that so many are available via netflix, amazon, hulu, etc. I did have a Rewards Certificate that was expiring though so I bought this movie at the last minute. This was a great movie and and was full of suspense and thrills., This is my favorite genre of horror films...ones that are based on a true story.

The first Conjuring is a masterfully put together haunted house tale so this sequel had some serious shoes to fill. I'm happy to report that I enjoyed this film just as much as I did the original. James Wan has genuinely changed the face of modern horror filmmaking. Huge talent and the genre is lucky to have him!

This wasn't as good as the first but very well done. I will say this. As a HUGE lover of horror films this one now tops my list! This movie had me sitting on the edge of my seat, shaking! Unbelievably scary from beginning to end! On my MUST BUY list. You want to be scared to the bone then this movie is for you.

This cleared up some holes from the movie the Enfield Haunting which I saw a few months previously. The storyline was the same with the exception that the Warrens weren't mentioned in that movie so I was surprised to know that they had anything to do with the investigation. A must see for the paranormal fan.

Great sequel that I hope they continue to make. Instead of using shock and gore, the Conjuring builds through suspense and storytelling. If the devil is in the details, then the Conjuring is scary for the small things they do like door cracks and the soundtrack. Let's hope for an equally good number 3.

The Conjuring 2 is a skillfully crafted horror movie! The cinematography and pacing of the story effectively reward us with tense moments of dread and genuine scares! Sequels often fail to live up to their predecessor, but The Conjuring 2 delivers! Turn off the lights and watch this!! Highly recommended!

I actually liked this better than the first but neither are spectacular movies

Very good horror story that gives interesting details to what the teenage girls experienced in Enfield, England in 1977. Also they did a great job with replicating the posters and pictures on the girls bedroom walls.

I enjoy horror movies and when I watched the first Conjuring I was blown away because I haven’t seen a good horror film that I enjoyed in a long time. I was really excited for the sequel and it didn’t disappoint when I watched it in theaters. I had to own it and it was money well spent.

It is one of the few movies where the sequel was as good as the 1st movie. I thought the evil spirit in this movie was scary and the movie had plenty of spots for making me jump. It was longer than most horror movies, but they needed to build the story and it didn't seem like it was dragging on

The first movie was better, but this one is good. DVD plays with no problems.
