    This was my favorite movie growing up but it was butchered by the production company. Francis jumped to the rescue with his true vision and to be honest it awesome love the flow so much more.

    This is a time piece movie set in 1920's N.Y.C.,Harlem around the Cotton Club. It emulates the racism of the time and displays the organised crime figures of the day.

    A true restoration, it has previously excised or truncated material which wisely re-balances the film more toward the Cotton Club performers, and less the tired gangster element.

    This movie has grown better with age. The music and performances are top notch - especially the Hines Brithers and Fred Gwynn

    Cotton Club lets you experience what it was like in the late 20's and 30's. This edition has very good picture quality.

    Good package for Coppola die-hards. It's not a great film, but this Encore cut is nicely restored.
