    A group of teenage girls who, after getting caught conjuring love spells in the woods, are forced to lie that the devil had "invaded" them, and subsequently accuse several innocent people of witchcraft.

    Terrific acting by Day-Lewis, Ryder and the incomparable Paul Scofield. Excellent screenplay made for an engaging movie experience.

    i saw this in a play along time ago and again a few years back i am glad they made a movie and i was not disppointed it is a great movie
