The Cruel King and the Great Hero!! Must have for my Switch Collection!!

Let's get the pros out of the way first... this RPG is a follow up to 2018's puzzle platformer "The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince". The art is similar to the previous game, done in a gorgeous hand drawn style and features some great, cute details. The music is also charming and wonderfully done, and the story is rather sweet as well. Sadly, when you get to the actual gameplay, you find it is nowhere near as engaging as the visuals. The basic RPG battle mechanics are solid, if not very innovative or unique. It's the time you spend between battles that really drags the game down, as you will find yourself plodding left and right across long paths with no puzzles to solve or roadblocks to overcome other than the frequent random battles. Most areas are also mazelike with lots of backtracking, so many players will find themselves bored before getting even halfway through the game. I enjoyed "Liar Princess" and was really looking forward to this game, but sadly the boring gameplay overshadows the whimsical art and story, and I can't really recommend it. If you're looking for a quirky RPG with a unique art style and an engaging story, I would suggest checking out "Paper Mario: The Origami King".

Arrived in mint condition! Comes in a larger box with small stuff character and artbook with game. There is a digital soundtrack which is disappointing since the previous release (Liar Princess) by NISA had one. Game itself is an enjoyable story if not slower RPG. Good starter RPG!

A game where you can be hero beyond breaking pots. It is a sweet game about a girl with a birth father that was the hero king and her current caretaker that is a terrifying dragon. Yu oozes adorableness and goodness, this collection comes with a digital code for three redemptions of the soundtrack and a physical and adorable plush of Yu.

This would be better if they had a standard edition without the governance to it

This is such an incredible edition. This is going to quickly become a rare and sought after game. This includes the physical game a plushy an artbook and the digital soundtrack. Absolutely incredible.

I'm a big fan of NIS published games and this is another good one. Really well put together collectors edition.

If you loved the Liar Princess, then you'll look forward to this.
