A great movie to add to any unique movie collection. A Good film to enjoy anytime.

Jake Gyllenhall and Dennis Quaid play their father son relationship wonderfully in this very heartwarming and action packed story about what could happen if the Atlantic Decadal Oscillation current were to break down due to abrupt climate change. Some may knock this story but it has stood the test of time and is even used in some University level courses to highlight the downsides of burning too much fossil fuel. The story does justice to the science albeit in a very compressed way given the time allotted. I liked the depth of all the characters including the the few very brief segments by the actor playing the Vice President. Quaid for his part was the Intrepid Scientist and explorer who never wavers from his mission to rescue his precocious scientist in the making son Jake Gyllenhall. This movie has it all, heartfelt moments to action and snappy dialogue. Grab some popcorn and watch it over and over again during the next Polar Vortex!!!

I couldn't pass up the deal, I mean it was $4.99 which is practically renting a movie. But most stores it's more and also online. But the digital copy alone is worth the buy to me. My girlfriend really wanted the movie, I was never super impressed by it, just a little too slow and cheesy for my taste, but did enjoy it a little more than I remember as a teen. Had a good picture, the sound was great at moments, booming, and then quiet whispers from actors. Just wasnt balanced out well.

My wife wanted to watch it and I'm glad we did. I like my movies plausible and believable. But this movie pushes the limit of the possible. Still, it had very high entertainment value. That's why I bought it after renting it from Netflix. This movie has opened a new section in my DVD sorting. Dennis Quaid is one hell of an actor.

Ok... might seem a bit morose to want this to happen, but a new Ice Age might just be the ticket for resetting some of the worlds problems. Yeah, I know... don't say it... but just think of the Holidays!!! "Snow! It won't be long before we'll all be there with snow. Snow... I want to wash my hands, my face and hair with snow. Snow... I long to clear a path and lift a spade of snow. Snow... Where it's snowing, all winter through... that's where I want to be... Snowball throwing, that's what I'll do... how I'm longing to ski through the snow... those glistening houses that seem to be built of snow. Snow... Oh, to see a mountain covered with a quilt of snow."" Sorry... White Christmas flashback in July. Anyone who's seen this movie comes to such a conclusion... the idea of a world changing disaster setting off a new Age... if only for a moment. The movie funnels itself to this eventual line... "Mankind survived the last ice age. We're certainly capable of surviving this one. All depends on whether or not we're able to learn from our mistakes?" ...which is why I love disaster movies. For a short period of time, you have hope. Other such flicks to check out... 2012... Deep Impact... Volcano... San Andreas... there are companion movies worth watching too... like, Armageddon, Dante's Peek, Interstellar... And, not so much, a life as you know it is over type movie; more life affirming, but still worth watching, Twister. This is not a politically driven movie, but it does surf over political themes. It does not lecture as you might think, just points to the eventual consequences of lazy and conservative leadership worrying about preserving the status quo. You get a feel that the movie makers just want to imply the possibility. A minor set of changes now, might just prevent a major set of disasters tomorrow.

Great Story Great Effects Corny Ending. Dennis Quaid excellent with early appearances by Jake Gyllenhall and Emmy Rossum. And of course the Blu Ray makes the special effects go BOOM on my 58"4k Sammy with upscaling..LOved It!

Like the rest of Emmerich's films, The Day After Tomorrow is a bit over the top, but is full on entertaining. It also comes with a very important environmental message that more people should definitely listen to.

Another great movie with entertainment and nonstop special effects a must see

A great summer blockbuster movie. It has been some time since it was released, but still its graphic and storyline is very touching. Oh and Jake Gyllenhaal stars in this. You can see the young Misterio ;P

I had never heard of this movie .I was just looking around while waiting on my new phone and I saw it ,for a great price of only $3.99 so I bought it and I really loved this movie

I’ll be honest, I love any big disaster movie, no matter how ridiculous of a premise they have. This is no exception. Fun stuff if you like the same and haven’t seen it.

Saw this movie when I was a kid and was happy to find the blu ray/digital version on sale for $6, awesome steal. Def recommend to add to your collection!

This is an interesting, albeit extreme time frame, take on how climate change could cause a natural disaster on a global scale.

This is very good movie. It is a climate change scenario but predicting a deep freeze. Exciting and great effects. Loved it.

If you enjoy disaster moves, then this is one you should get. It was at a bargain price which made it easy to add to our collection.

This is a fun and exciting view of a post apocalyptic world. Though my wife mainly likes it because Jake Gyllenhall is in it.

I bought the movie Day After Tomorrow based on the cool slipcover. I enjoyed this movie when I saw it in the theater.

Fear of the next ice age comes to life in this awesome thriller. Highly recommend this movie if you enjoy apocalyptic movies.
