My review is for the 3D Blu Ray version of this movie. The 3D of this movie was good but not spectacular. The 3D effect was minimal and does not project fully into your living room. However, there are some instances that was good, others are normal (meaning you can see the same as you would without the 3D glasses). I guess I was expecting more, some what similar to IMAX 3D with projections further into your viewing room. The picture quality was excellent with good sharpness and color display. The movie story line was interesting, although it kind of roam a little in the middle. There were sparing actions throughout the movie but not as much as the original movie. The message in the box was kind of lame and yet the movie conclusions were fully based on this opening of the message in the box. In general, this would be a good movie to watch but does not have a long lasting memory.

Seeing this in theaters I was already a fan of the series. The first movie got my feet wet, but after Insurgent I can honestly say they've got a die hard fan with me. The 3D Blu Ray of Insurgent looks AMAZING!!! My wife and I watched this the other night and were both impressed on how crystal clear the picture was and how awesome the 3D aspect was! Not a lot of home 3D blu rays impress us anymore, but this one was for sure one to add to your collection. We have a sound bar as our primary sound source, so you might have to look at other reviews for more specific sound reviews, but with how stunning this looked on our tv, how great the 3D effects were, and the nice amount of special features this set packs, this is absolutely a disc you want to pick up to add to the 3D blu ray library.

I didn't read the books, so I don't have any insight into what happens in the series or in the movies. I watched the first movie about 6 months ago, so it wasn't super fresh in my mind what had happened. I probably should have rewatched the movie or read a quick synopsis about it before watching the sequel because I forgot about all the different groups and who was a part of what. That part is my fault because this was a great movie and have a ton of great special effects. I'm happy I purchased the digital version and didn't just rent it because I'll definitely be watching this again

I love the Insurgent series. I originally had the DVDs and recently purchased the collection on Blu-ray. Now I have found Insurgent in 3D, so I had to add to my stack of the Insurgent discs. This was at a closeout price and very good value. Picture quality and resolution is excellent, as expected and 3-D quality is amazing. This is the way I will watch it from now on, every few years. At my age that reflects some optimism.

I pre-ordered the steelbook copy of Insurgent because I really like how sturdy the steelbooks are and they just look sharp. Some people may think it's silly to spend a little more just because of the packaging, maybe they are right, but I like collecting the whole series in steelbook when it's offered. This one came with 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD and digital copy versions of the movie. I love when I can get Blu-ray, DVD and digital copies of the movies I collect! I'm not going to get into a big review on the actual movie.. It's a good one though. ;) The second in the Divergent series. Very happy with the purchase.

My wife wanted to watch these films because her kids at work are heavy into them, and she wants to keep up with such things. So of course I picked up the steelbooks, because if I'm gonna get them, the steelbook/digibook/etc collector in me is gonna get them right. The film itself looks and sounds nice enough, but it's certainly not for me. Even my wife was less into the sequel than the original. However, I'm sure fans of the book and film will be well satisfied with how good they look and sound. I would recommend to a friend only if they have kids or are into the books themselves.

This is part of the "Divergent" franchise, and a noteworthy installment into that series. It is not a predictable outcome, or a rehash of earlier story lines, but brings a new outcome and was very satisfying to watch. As a DVD, the quality was excellent, and included both 2-D and 3-D versions on separate disks (very nice in the event your DVD player does not have a way to disable 3-D as mine does not). The 3-D effects are used sparingly and only to enhance certain scenes and we found it to be a nice augmentation, rather than centerpiece of the overall visuals.

I like the Divergent series, but what I love is the audio and video quality! Although I don't have a Dolby Atmos enabled receiver (yet), I will say that even in Dolby TrueHD, this is one of the best audio tracks I've heard yet! Incredible bass extension, so much that if you have the gear to really experience this Blu Ray's capabilities then you're in for a real treat! The audio and 3D video is outstanding! Is Dolby Atmos really that much better than Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD Master audio? That's still yet to be seen. In this case, heard. Great movie!

Insurgent is the continuation of the Divergent series, basically this is the poor man's Hunger Games. While there is enough story here and truly amazing special effects I still find myself comparing this movie and the series to Hunger Games. Shailene Woodley is great actress and always delivers a great performance, enough so that you can get really drawn in to her performance. This series seems to get a bit confusing as the movie continues but I feel that once all the movies are made it will make more sense and the continuity would make more sense.

The second in the Divergent series follows-up on the the main characters and their next step towards righting the wrongs by the Faction Society. This sequel is not as spell binding as the original film and its ending does leaving the viewer with the questions, "Is there another sequel?" Of course there is, but there is no clue as to what the next adventure is. The Blu-Ray is crisp. The dialog appeared to get lost in the background sounds. The Dolby ATMOS sound was a pleasant addition for anyone who has the proper decoding capabilities.

There's appealing detail in the 4K release of this Blu-Ray. You can see the pores on some of the actors and also the fabrics worn during the movie pops with the color in HDR. You can definitely tell the difference in the 4K compared to the regular Blu-Ray. Also the audio comes in at Dolby Atmos which if you have a 7.1 sound system is awesome. The audio is 5 stars for this 4K release alone. The movie is really entertaining and captures your attention with the storyline from beginning to end.

To truly enjoy this pretty spectacular ride, one has to completely buy into Roth’s basic premise: that an entire society willingly agrees to be divided into those five factions of Erudite (intelligence), Dauntless (bravery), Amity (peace-loving/agricultural), Abnegation (selfless service to others) and Candor (honesty). For those looking for non-stop action, pretty dazzling special effects and solid acting by the young protagonists, “Insurgent” will not disappoint.

I started watching the Divergent films mainly out of boredom. I really didn't expect much from them, as I'm not a huge fan of Shailene Woodley, but the first one sucked me in and didn't let go until the end. Insurgent is definitely a good addition to the series it answered some questions while also bringing up new intriguing ones. I'm curious to see where the next two films take us. Full of action and drama, any Divergent fan should really enjoy this film.

Was looking forward to buying Insurgent. Usually buy new releases from Target (that's where I got Divergent) but really wanted a steel book. The Best Buy copy had steel book editions which included DVD, Blu-Ray, Ultraviolet, but also a 3D version of the movie for just under $20. 3D copies usually cost a lot so I was very pleased with my purchase. Saw the actual movie in 3D when it came out. Some people don't like 3D but it's worth watching at least once.

This movie stays mostly faithful to the book. There is a lot of action and while this movie to some May seem like a filler movie what with the main characters traveling from location to location finding followers for their cause and setting up the next two movies the special effects are great and I was entertained the whole time. If you are a fan of the books I would recommend buyng this movie and the first one, divergent. You won't be disappointed.

As a fan of the Divergent book series I was happy to see the story come to the big screen. While, as usual, the books go into greater detail the story is very close to the original. There were some aspects changed but the outcome was the same. It is a very entertaining movie and if you enjoyed the first one you will like the second one just as much. In fact you will probably know you like it having seen it in a theater prior to getting the BluRay.

This is a great BD steelbook. Although the series is mediocre, I still had to have the sequel. Being a completist I simply cannot only purchase part of a collection. Once I saw there was going to be a steelbook I knew I had to have it. Due to my work hours I could not pick this up on release day so I decided to order online and use the pick up at store option as steelbooks sell quick. Sure glad I did! Great picture! Great sound! Love it!

A sequel is always the hardest to pull off IMO and they did an awesome job with this second movie in the series. So without giving away spoilers, if you liked the first one, have not seen the second, you should. If you have seen the second, then you know you need to add it to the collection. The 3D on this was great on my Samsung. I saw it in the movies as well in 3D and enjoyed it just as much at home as I did in the theater.

This is the second act of the "Divergent" series. Usually the second is the weakest of a trilogy but in this case it is not true. This is a little better than the first because the characters and the situation is all ready established. There is a lot more action in this one than the first and the story moves at a brisk pace. fans of the books will be pleased I think. Fun ride and makes you look forward to the third installment.

AS far as the movie goes, It was an interesting movie. managed to keep my attention for the entire 2 hours. Shailene is terrific and story was very good as well. Well paced flicked that pushed the development of character as well as the action. The steelbook exclusive version is very nice. Clean sharp and goes well with original fick. Hopefully Best Buy can keep exclusivity contract and put out the last two movies as well.
