This was my favorite game growing up and not a lot of people have played it. Skyrim made the Elder Scrolls series popular but that game feels bland compared to the story line and adventures you can have in oblivion. The Dark Brotherhood and the Arena in Oblivion are excellent and really stick with the player. I bought this game because I saw that the Xbox One now has backwards compatibility with this game. If you enjoyed Skyrim you have to give this game a chance, it’s older but has soo much more depth. By far this is a game everyone should play, 10/10 even in 2019.

I would not recommend it to a friend and I am only giving it 3 stars because, I started it and stopped. Why: the adjustment period. I am coming from Elder Scrolls: Skyrim and I am not a traditional role-playing gamer. I was told this is a better game. So far, this statement is true. I care about my character more. I wasn't expecting it to be old school. It is one step up from pixelated. Controlling the character takes some getting used to. My controller's response is too fast for my characters stiff arms to hit anything. I have to reconfigure it. That is the only quirk. Get that sorted and enjoy the game.

This was my first elder scrolls back when the 360 launched and it really blew me away. Its still fun today and glad its backwards compatible because Elder Scrolls and Fallout are just annoying to play on PC with their crashes. I'll take the graphic downgrade to have more stability.
The older ones had more depth, but I think this is where the series peaked in keeping some complexity but moving to a modern gameplay/mechanics that holds up well today.

I bought this one to replace a copy of mine that disappeared. It’s a no-brainer. I love this game. The graphics are pretty good, the game itself is a total time sink. You can put in hundreds of hours without even touching the main quest. Being the game of the year edition you get the dlc with it. I bought the original release and then paid to get this edition, and then bought it again. It’s that good.

After over a decade, I'm sure you either know everything or nothing about this game. Either way, you must experience it for yourself. The graphics do not hold up the greatest, but they are still very playable Graphics. Everything else however it is phenomenal. Probably the best Elder Scrolls experience we will ever get, perhaps even one of the greatest RPGs we will ever get.

I bought an Xbox One just to play old games like this. The Elder Scrolls is one of the funnest series I have ever played but growing up I didn't have funds to buy Oblivion, now I'm an adult and I can afford these games. I really enjoy this game. The graphics are dated but the fun you have playing complete makes you forget that they're dated. I'm gonna be playing this for a while. It's fun.

Great game visual enhancement. Game plays done and looks incredible on a 4K TV. Lots of Nostalgia when I play this. Lots of great memories that crept up on me when I bought this game when it released all those years ago. Still some of the best Bethesda story telling and gameplay to this day!

Now that Skyrim is near eight-to-ten years old, we purchased this game to get some of the backstory behind what had happened before the Dragonborn's time. We have not been disappointed by this engaging and fully-realized series, let alone Oblivion.

This was my favorite Xbox 360 game and although I wish they would have done oblivion remastered on its 10th anniversary rather than skyrim on its 5th, being able to play this on my current console is pretty awesome for now.

Oblivion is a fun, free play game to where it shows multiple ways of challenging foe's, trust able allies to fight against or with on unimaginable quests to where you can level or understand most of the storyline or some of the characters inside the game itself. i would recommend this game to ALL of my friends.

I haven't played Oblivion in years. There is tons of things to do in the game and plenty of hours to spend doing them. Multiple quests, discovering weapons, etc. I personally love this game! It's still very fun to play! Great Buy!

I’ve played through this whole game back in 2007 when it first released and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is just as captivating in 2020 as it was back then. Technology advances every day and so do graphics, so you’re not getting state of the art visuals in this game. Please note this game was primarily developed between 2002-2004, but still holds up incredibly well. The game has its flaws like most games, but the storylines, dialogue, voice acting (first all voiced dialogue in an Elder Scrolls game), graphics and combat (for its time) are almost unparalleled to anything on the market, even today. It is THE best Elder Scrolls game to date (sorry Skyrim), and if you haven’t played it yet now is the best time to because if it’s incredibly low price after being released over a decade ago.
