Customers are saying

Customers are satisfied with the gameplay, citing it as fabulous and fun with excellent graphics. Many also appreciate the vast amount of content and the expansive open world, although some experienced occasional lag depending on internet connection. While the story is considered good, a persistent concern is the requirement of an internet connection to play.

Multiplayer Skyrim- nah; Epic, Lore, Action- YES!

I wanted a multiplayer, beautiful, online game filled with incredible lore, cheeky references and sardonic humor, and of course, action. While the game has everything needed to play a beautiful, lore-filled, action-packed game, the multiplayer is clumsy at times and I feel like the game was built around the multiplayer end-game, rather than the journey to get there. With Skyrim, you are immediately immersed in such an immense world and yet, have a roughly linear path you can choose to follow or stray from. With TESO, you are stuck in the same immernse world, but your path is very unclear from the beginning; you don't get your main drive and purpose for the first 10 or so levels, then you can begin to feel like you're making an impact on the universe, rather than making sure you kill all the rats for a farmer -.- All in all, great game, but with the PC mods out there, I'm looking forward to a legit Skyrim multiplayer mod instead once I've finished TESO.

This game is packed with value, with an almost overwhelming amount of content. No subscription fee is a bonus. Character design is good, with some real quality and lengthy missions, despite several fetch quests and what not. Co-op is fun, and dungeons are challenging.

If you like to play MMOs and are socially capable this is a good game to get. There are a lot of people that are online and you can join there groups which make the game even more enjoyable. If you plan on playing this single player I would probably stay away from it.

While this version of the game has been upgraded and changed from its initial release, its still a pleasant distraction .. at times. You still never get the real feel of Elderscrolls OR that you are playing with a multitude of people except seeing them in the cities.

Bethesda did a decent job with this game especially when you think of going from a primariily single player story set to a full MMO. Some points of concern are is the amount of time that can be put into the game to have nothing happen and to accomplish little. Skills and item acquisition are painfully slow and there is no real sense of accomplishment for a great while when starting. This game is fun and interesting. The party system with friends is difficult to manage and seems to be lacking in the amount of quests that are actually available for co-op play. Most quests are rendered solo and can be accompanied with a friend but you each have to do everything. Overall its a decent game but doesn't quite fit what I was looking for.

This games has been great so far. Leveling to 50 took a few weeks, and has slowed down significantly once I reached veteran status. Essentially, to max out at V16 you will likely have to play through every zone in the game, which will give you months of play time. The pvp is entertaining as well if you can figure out how to play against other classes. I would highly recommend this game as it is an MMO but not like a traditional one.

While it doesn't offer quite the experience that a normal Elder scrolls does, I have had a lot of fun playing ESO since I currently don't have the funds to play WoW. Has definately kept my MMO fix pleased far more than some others I have attempted!

It's good enough, for an MMORPG. But I'm coming off Witcher 3, which outdoes this in almost every way. Still, you if really love the TES series or MMORPGs, then go for it. It's good for what it is.

The game itself is awesome, and I loved Skyrim so this is a PLUS for me. It is not entirely the same but some mechanics are. It can be kind of slow at the start but once you get the hang of questing and forging weapons and etc it is a lot of fun.

I was hesitant to buy this game at first because I don't see the point of MMORPG with monthly subscriptions. When I found out that there wasn't one, I decided to give it a shot. The game is absolutely amazing! There are tons of things to do, and PVP mode is awesome when running around with twenty other people. However, traveling in PVP is a pain. I hope they change that. Other than that, this is a pretty solid game.

I would have to say that this is a game that is worth checking out if it is on sale. I don't know if I would pay 50 dollars to play this, but it is enjoyable and fun. Very similar to playing Elder Scrolls, except you can play with friends!

There is no subscription for the game however you must pay for ps4 online service. Tons of missions some are super easy others will give you a challenge. Takes a bit to get into the mmo feel coming from skyrim or the others in the series.

Look, I'm not gonna lie: I don't really like MMOs in the traditional sense. They require you to have these weird things called FRIENDS who have to help you out whenever you're gaming, and it's just a hassle I don't like to deal with. I like the exploration aspects of an MMO, just not the social ones. That having been said, ESO is just about an ideal choice for someone who isn't big on MMOs but still wants to try one. I'd say about 75% of the quests overall can be solo-ed, and the ones that can't are conquerable with a couple pickup groups here and there. This allows you to experience the Elder Scrolls beauty and charm firsthand, all the caves and scenic vistas and monsters and wizards, without having to worry about your pals offline not having your back. Overall, the game is pretty much just a nice Skyrim knockoff with some MMO elements put into play. Free to play, too, so at least you don't get gouged if you end up not bothering to finish the thing because you're not into online gaming. I'm not, but I still dug ESO. Weird, huh?

When I had played PC beta I felt this game needed controller support. The PS4 release did not fail to satisfy. The game is not sequel to Skyrim so don't expect as much. It does work as a nice MMO on PS4 which is lacking in that genre.

I am super addicted to this game, I play with my friends and I cannot put the game down. I wish there was a way to change my alliance because I wasn't able to play with my friends until I made a new character with the same alliance.

I liked Elder Scrolls Skyrim a lot. I invested a ton of time into it, did all the story and most of the side missions... but the combat/graphics don't really hold up to next-gen standards/ The graphics in ESO are very similar, and the combat is pretty much the same... but after Skyrim, it maybe feels TOO similar. The game has a TON to do... but without any real direction or story... it was pretty overwhelming. I gave the game a shot, and I played it for a few days... but I just found it mostly boring, and it's def. way too hard to get a horse. Walking everywhere takes forever, and honestly, I just found the game overall pretty uninteresting.

I almost didn't buy this game due to the reviews for the PC version some time back. I decided to give it a try though and I'm glad I did. This game plays like a full on Elder Scrolls game with MMO aspects. There are several storylines, all of which can be completed solo. In fact, I never joined a group once in the game, but group play is definitely present and another way to experience this game.
