Customers praise the engaging gameplay, frequently comparing it to titles like *Slime San* and *Celeste*, and also cite the fun factor and responsive controls as major highlights. Many appreciate the inclusion of a physical manual and the game's portability, making it ideal for play on the go. However, the challenging difficulty is a recurring point of discussion, with some players noting the high number of attempts needed to complete levels.

The kids didn’t mind the game but it wasn’t a big hit either. If it’s on sale go for it.

Top notch twitch platforming

If you love the frustrating twitch-platforming genre, you'll love The End is Nigh. It plays in a similar style to Super Meat Boy, meaning you have to have precise button presses to make it through every level. I'm at about 41% so far, and am obsessed. There's a surprising amount of things to find in such a simple premise, and I look forward to replaying levels looking for hidden passages. If you love Super Meat Boy or any other Nicalis releases, you'll love The End is Nigh.

False Description
Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
The product page clearly says that this is the "Launch Edition" of The End is Nigh, which includes the manual and Ash squishy thing. The version I received did not include either of these things, which makes the version that Best Buy is selling not the "Launch Edition". I only ordered this from Best Buy because it was supposed to be the "Launch Edition". Other than that, the game is great. Just be warned that Best Buy does not always include accurate descriptions of their products. I'm fairly aggravated by this.
