This CD collection of his best is THE CD Set to own! i can never get enough of Billy Joel, the piano man that he was and the hits that rolled through his fingers out of his vocal chords.Thank goodness for Best Buy that provides all of these 'old school' albums and CD disc sets. If you're looking for the essential music of Billy Joel, this collection is a great bargain for you! The sound quality is high!

I bought this on the recommendation of a store employee who explained the difference between "essential" and "best of" (always buy "essential" if you can). I needed to update my cassette tapes, and this album does it. Enjoying piano music and his best hits.

THIS IS A GREAT BILLY JOEL CD. ALL THE HITS YOU REMEMBER FROM WHEN THEY FIRST CAME OUT. ITS SO TRUE, THAT MUSIC CAN TAKE YOU BACK TO WHERE YOU WERE, WHEN YOU FIRST HEARD A SONG.... PICK THIS ONE UP BEFORE THERE ARE NONE LEFT.

Good cross section of Billy Joel's works, starting with some of his earliest hits. Album starts off with Piano Man and simply does not disappoint...even includes a couple of his piano instrumentals at the end.

Reviewing music is difficult since it is based on the reviewer's musical preferences. I will say that if you love classics such as Uptown Girl and Tell Her About It, then you will have a rolling good time!

Very good music on here. We need to go back to making music like this. This is back when artists were real artists. What I really want to say is restricted on here so I'll leave it at that.

I thought it was alright but for some reason I enjoyed his music more in current music today.

The Essential Billy Joel is a compilation of songs about 37 on 2 disc. It is good music to dive with. My son is so happy I bought this for him. He just loves it. This is our kind of music..

Great value for the money. Best Buy has a large assortment of these compilation CDs from a large assortment of artists. Great if you spend as much time driving as I do.

It is amazing how many great songs that were written and preformed by Billy Joel. I only wish this collection had even more of his music

I bought this Billy Joel CD because on it is my wedding song, Just the Way you Are. It brings back so many happy memories, being a widow now.

what's not to like about his songs . had the cassette with these songs and played it do much the tape broke .so had to get the cd.
