The RHCP have basicially been making the same album for years now. Nothing new here.

They've been making the same album for years. This is no different.

The lyrics don't make much sense but is has a great beat.

I think they play this album in my dentists office!

The Red Hot Chili Peppers (being my favorite band since "Californication") have continuously created refreshing and euphoric music. No other band harmonizes the way that the RHCP do. One of a kind, and this album is no different. Each song requires multiple hearings to truly fall in love with each one (which, in my opinion, is usually a keystone to truly great music, the kind which demands a precise listening and examining of the structure of the song to really understand and love it). While I do miss John Frusciante (one of the greatest), guitarist Josh Klinghoffer more than holds his own in capturing the traditional RHCP sound. And Chad's drums, Flea's bass and Anthony's lyrics (along with great effort by producer Danger Mouse) are all top-notch examples of why I love the Red Hot Chili Peppers in the first place. No RHCP fan should be without this album. A haunting, melodic, mastercrafted piece of harmony that ONLY the Red Hot Chili Peppers can create. To put it simply, it's the Red Hot Chili Peppers..... enough said. Cheers.

I got this album after hearing Dark Necessities and The Getaway on Youtube, which I really liked. The whole album is very enjoyable to listen to, very polished, and creatively refreshing. As the Chili Peppers usually do, the lyrics they used were vague and hard to connect with emotionally, so I don't find myself going back and listening to the album a lot or attaching myself to it much, but the music itself is great enough to make me like the album anyway. Would definitely recommend.

I love TRHCP, they've been making great music for 2 decades. I wanted to love this CD, hoped it would grow on me, but it's a bit of a dud overall. 3 solid songs, and the rest are just okay. Hey, on the bright side, it's new RHCP, and that's always a good thing! My $.02...

Time tested and approved once again! Great direction and solid composition that never wears thin listening to this album on my daily drives. Totally worth picking up and adding to the collection!

I love the chili peppers ad want to see them next year, i liked this cd but i dont think it is their best work, maybe a =few more listens and it will bring me to love it

if you're a fan of rchp you'll love this album. it has some great hits and come of the best tunes they've pumped out since californication. worth checking out.

Great album definitely recommend to any red hot chili pepper fan

This album has not left my vehicle since I bought it. The quality of songs is reminiscent to Stadium Arcadium. Definitely worth a buy.

I love RHCP, I absolutely love The Getaway. It has some funk but it's got a whole lot of melody.

Great album, worth the wait. Must add it to your collection if you're a fan of RHCP even slightly.
