Ewan McGregor plays a ghostwriter hired to complete memoirs of a former Prime Minister UK, Adam Lang (Pierce Brosnan). Lang and his wife retires to the USA, after vanquishing British politics. He and his wife live on an isolated island in the US with security control and a good secretarial staff. The Ghost, Ewan McGregor's character interviews Lang and is asked earlier in the beginning of the film to read a book given to him by one of his friends. Later on in the film Adam Lang is mired in a big scandal with international branches. The Ghost uncovers clues while working on the memoirs and a dark secret linking Lang to the CIA with significant information showed. The information was hidden in the manuscript given to the Ghost earlier. This movie has a great cast and director. Overall 5/5

The cinematography comes out lovely in HD. It's got a great little noir plot and the shots always matches the mood. Polanski is a master of the art, and this one has a much more coherent plot than 9 Gates.
