Characters reacted realistically to their zombie apocalypse situation. The movie's scientific explanation behind the zombie pandemic seemed remotely plausible. The doctor's ethic justifying "painlessly" dissecting 'live' child zombie experimental subjects in hopes of finding a vaccine for humans was thought provoking. Only criticism was the illustration on the disc case depicted a couple helicopters in flight, but we never saw any aircraft in flight during the movie.

In the book of the same name the story is told from different viewpoints, but in the movie the creators wisely chose to tell it from 'The Girl with All the Gifts', Melanie's, point of view. Incredible newcomer Sennia Nanua as Melanie is a young star to watch, in this film she manages to make you worry about & fear her. Why this did so badly at the box office and wasn't widely released is a head scratcher, because this is very good movie.

Honestly, I have to admit that I don't remember seeing a lot of press about this movie when it was in the theatres. After seeing it, I don't know why there wasn't. Yes, it is a zombie movie, at it's core, but it's just a good movie overall. Some of the review material I saw said "The best zombie movie since 28 Days Later". I'd have to agree and might rank it higher than 28 Days Later.

Okay, zombies are all the rage and we're being saturated with them. This has a different twist and is actually an intelligently written film - yes, there is actually a plot! A different spin on the zombie genre - predicting this may well become a cult classic among zombie fans. Some heavy hitters in the acting category - Glenn Close, Paddy Considine and the lovely Gemma Arterton.

I wanted to see this the minute I saw the previews. However, it didn't get released at the theater near me. I have the book. Never got to reading it. I knew what the movie was about and this film didn't disappoint.

This is a great film ! It shows a unique view of the zombie genre. The acting production value and directing are all very good. This is not just another rehash of the zombie apocalypse movie with the same old storylines. The zombies are not just mindless creatures and you do care about what happens to them. The end of the film is a bit dark but that's how I prefere my films anyway.

After reading the quite absorbing novel, I envisioned a film version, and was surprised at how SPOT ON this movie was! The acting was excellent, the settings appropriate, the script absorbing, and everything so very true to the novel (excepting a somewhat forgivable fork in the road for the finale portion). Unlike The Walking Dead, we enjoyed an actual resolution!

Everything is zombies lately and it has a sense of getting stale. The Girl with All the Gifts finds a new angle for the genre and succeeds in doing so. Very entertaining and clever. Highly recommended.

This movie was so amazing. The little girl in the movie is a phenomenal actress, all the actors were great. This was a new take on the zombie movies and it didn't disappoint. I also read the book and thought it was a great adaptation. I believe the author who wrote the book also wrote the screenplay. Definitely check this movie out!

Bought this movie based on its reviews and I must say I think its a very good movie. Actually didn't expect it to be that good, but it sure had my attention the whole way.

Glenn Close, like always, does a Great job on the film. Very good storyline and acting. The girl(actress) will do wonders ! Well done young lady Sennia Nenua ! A future Star !!!

You can IMDB this dystopian movie. I will just say the product itself is great which includes the digital copy and lots of extras to view. I would recommend.

I had only seen brief trailers of this movie, but felt compelled to buy it when I saw it on the shelves. It turned out to be a winner of a choice. The premise was believable (for a sci-fi movie), not a typical zombie flick. The lead actress was remarkable. I hope she lands some more roles in the future.

I did read reviews before my purchase. It was on sale & after reading about it I thought this sounds like a great story & it was and a well done movie.

Although this movie borrows from The Last Of Us, it is fairly original for a zombie movie. I would definitely recommend adding this one to your collection.

Walking Dead spurred a trend and now there may be more movies in this genre than any other. With that being said, this one holds its own and worth seeing.

A young girl, who is immune to a fatal disease, decided to save others and the world. I reminded me of the World War Z and the Scorched series.

Much like 28 days later, this film is people who want a smart zombie film and reading the book as well will make you like it all the much more.

The movie was great for the most part, however, the ending was not as good as the book. I also wished that they had shown how the infection started.
