I really like The Good Dinosaur, although I admit the start was a bit slow which may bore the Frozen or Tangled audience. Once it gets started which takes about 15 minutes, it really draws you in. Like all Pixar movies, there is a bit of a dark side, but for me this is part of the allure. As with all animal kingdom movies, there is the underlying story concerning the food chain. This may also upset little ones, kind of like The Lion King. The characters are eventually likable, and when the kids are ready to give it a chance, they're going to really like it.

TGD does a lot of things that less confident animated films dare not: take breaks from dialogue and let the actin tell its own story. Plus, the cinematography is beautiful thanks to the technology used to scan real environments and put the characters in a digital version of real-world Montana, etc. The BR is an excellent experience in video and audio. Have not yet looked at the special features.

Kids may not grasp that the juxtaposition of dinosaurs and early humans was not factual, but most will not care. Young adolescents will certainly relate to the struggles of Arlo, the Good Dinosaur. Parents: Be aware, the movie does include the death of a parent, biting off the heads of small creatures, and eating mind-altering mushrooms, all or some of which may be off base for certain children.

Pixar continues their great filmmaking with the latest entry of their ever-growing library of movies. A hybrid of a coming-of-age, Western-style story-telling to tell a tale of dealing with loss, making friends, and finding their place/voice in the world. All while, on a journey to finding their way home. Beautiful story that is entertaining and has a whole lot of heart, as per usual with Pixar.

Great original story! Really enjoyed how they set up a park for dinosaurs to inhabit and they escaped, all but one good dinosaur.. Gripping end scene when the good dinosaur was chasing the clear plastic ball with people in it. Check it out!!

Beautifully created movie. Visually stunning. My toddler aged children (who developed a recent love of dinosaurs) love the film. There are some mildly scary parts (involving a few scenes with aggressive dinosaurs) for little ones, but overall a beautiful film with a great story.

"The Good Dinosaur" movie is very enjoyable to watch, very good plot, and expresses an excellent message for those that want to "leave a mark" by making a difference with their lives. It follows the adventure of a "misfit" dinosaur trying to live up to the legacy of his father. There are some tense moments in the film. This copy includes DVD/Blu-ray and digital copy for viewing.

This movie is phenomenal. I have to be honest I never watched it. I bought this for my kids they sit in in a dark room and watch this movie for hours which gives me a lot of time to clean the house, make dinner and have fun. If you have kids by this movie lock them in a dark room and they will leave you alone for a long time.

I didn't know what to think of this movie and its premise, but the whole family was pleasantly surprised and entertained. It has the beautiful moral of pushing through your fear to get to the beauty on the other side. There was one weird part where the characters start hallucinating after eating some fruit so not sure what that was about, but other than that, awesome! :)

The Good Dino was the first "flop" from PIxar in its history. I held off buying because it didn't do well at the box office and critics weren't too kind. A great sale from Best Buy caused me to buy it and when I had finished watching my jaw was on the ground...what a fantastic film. Great animation, heartwarming story and great visuals. Pixar at its finest.

First off the animation and environment are beautiful. The story line is predictable.... Really predictable! I bought this for a 5 year old so this review is based on his reaction to the movie. Movie is entertaining with only a couple of intense scenes. Replay doesn't seem to be as much as other Disney/Pixar movies. After about a week or so of watching the movie, sometimes only a portion before becoming bored, this movie now just sits on the shelf. My 5 year old maybe has watched the movie 3 times all the way through.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Plot essentially teaching perseverance, power of family, individuality and believing in yourself. The story was very sweet. Some tearful moments thrown into the light humor throughout. The animation, especially in scenes involving water was remarkable. Background and scenery were beautiful and well done. I highly recommend this film.

This movie was better than I expect it! This movie wasn’t praised when it came out sadly. It was simple story that kids can learn from, this movie was beautiful! The scenery was photorealistic! Voice work was great! It was very funny and sad at times. Perfect mix definitely worth the check up

My kids LOVE this movie, HOWEVER... Although the movie ends "happily ever after", from the beginning of the movie the young dinasour appears to loose his family in a disaster. If your kids are sensitive to this, you might want to give them a heads up as we had to do for ours. Other than that, once again, Disney does a fantastic job. The graphics are insane!

Let’s start with the good; this movie is gorgeous. Pixar is really flexing this time around with their photo-realistic renders. The cartoonish nature of the characters clash with this setting, and I think this is where the movie falters. Pixar always does a great job with character development but this movie felt off. Felt more like a Dreamworks CGI film than Pixar. Steelbook art is great though!

Although the movie was good, and the steelbook artwork is amazing, mine came without a digital code to redeem. What a bummer.

This has to be one of Pixar's finest films as far as the animation goes. There are some amazingly breathtaking moments in which you start to forget that this is an animated film. Their on the cutting edge of this technology. Pixar's storytelling is always its strong point and the story of The Good Dinosaur will not disappoint either.

I hadn't heard anything about this movie before I got to the store. I picked it up to look at it and the sales person passing by said "great movie". I decided to get it and at the register the cashier said "this is a great movie". I have to agree... this is a great movie. Good lessons, great humor, another feel good movie. Way to go Disney/Pixar.

I didn't think I'd like this movie as I don't really like dinosaur related movies, and the plot started off rather slow. But about 20 minutes in, it picked up and caught my attention. I ended up loving it and even teared up a bit. This will definitely be an underrated Disney film, but I'd recommend it to anyone. Both kids and adults will love it.

The Good Dinosaur is a decent movie with a fairly generic story line. My kids like it, but don't love it. It's pretty low on my list of Pixar movies. However, it is visually stunning to look at! Especially on Blu-Ray! The animation is spectacular! It really is jaw-dropping to look at in high definition! Almost makes up for a sub-par story...
