If you're trying to get into Westerns, this is your entry. My personal favorite film in the "Dollars Trilogy" is "For A Few Dollars More" but this one is also exceptional. Eastwood, Wallach and Van Cleef at their best. Morricone on the score and Leone behind the camera. Classic.

I bought this movie for my son so he can start watching the classics. I am very happy with the price. If you can get movies inexpensively, it's cheaper than going to the library (time/gas.) Most of the time, I only buy movies that are well known classics.

One of the top films that deserves the Blue Ray treatment. Because this film has such a focus on cinematography, I wanted to see what it looked like on Blue Ray. It was quite an improvement; it made me appreciate the cinematography even more. However I am not sure how I feel about the 2 added scenes. Its cool we get to see new scenes but I hate when they "George Lucas" stuff like that. I feel its taking something people know and love and messing with it because they can. Thus -1 star.

Absolute classic!! The 4K restoration is gorgeous! Worth the buy even if you may already have a previous copy of the film! Worth it!

The story is very good with many plot lines left to the imagination. Eli Wallach and Lee Van Cleef are great opponents to Clint. The music is a great tie-in with the scenes. I strongly recommend watching the Blu-Ray extras about production.

Even with all of today's special effects, a great old story with a great cast under great direction - can't be beat. However, as the movie was upgraded from the original mono to 5.1, small bits of the soundtrack are now slightly different. But the studio does advise viewers of this change in the credits, and you would never notice any difference if you'd never saw the original movie in an old style theater.

It is the best spaghetti western ever. Great score from Morricone. Only criticism of this BLU-RAY is the lack of a digital copy and you can't convert this BLU-RAY on Vudu either. But the film is still awesome.

I really was never a fan of westerns growing up. But recently a friend of mine recommended me these older Clint Eastwood movies. And I told myself why i never gave these movies a chance. A must see Classic!

Picked this up for 12 bucks on Blu-ray. Which like I stated in my description it is a classic movie. It is arguable the best western of all time as well as one of the best movies of all time.

This movie, along with Once Upon a Time in the West, is probably my favorite western ever made. I grew up listening to the soundtrack on my dad's record player so it always "takes me back" when I watch it.

If you want just the movie, get the Clint Eastwood four pack set; but if you’re a film fan and love extras(and this disc doesn’t skim) then get this version-plus it’s from the 4K transfer.

One of the greatest westerns ever made, we finally have this masterpiece of film in 4k and it does not disappoint!

Honestly, this film is a timeless classic that everyone should see at least once in their lifetime.

For MGM's 90th anniversary, there were five films remastered for Blu-Ray: "Robocop" (the 1987 original), "Fargo", "Rocky", "Rain Man" and Sergio Leone's classic western which has never looked better.

Sergio at his best .no question this is one of the best westerns of all time .top 5 no ...top 3! a must watch for any fan, now that we have the original cut on Blu-ray.

I didn't originally get the big deal with this movie. I now know I was wrong. Clint, and the rest of the cast are great. You will love this. Even as long as this is, it's fantastic.

I already owned this film on DVD, but wanted to upgrade - THIS is a good upgrade. The film is crisp and clean...and the Special Features are a lot of fun. HIGHLY recommend this.
