This season one is my first exposure to this series. All the characters are compelling with plenty of twists in their lives. There are love triangles and larger political issues. I'm hooked to watch the remaining 5 seasons.

First time watching program.....wanted whole series. Story line real life drama. Worth watching over and over. I wIll continue to buy episodes as they become available. Also, sharing with family and friends.

At first, I wasn't iinterested in watching it . Then when I started, I found it to be very entertaining and hard to stop watching.

I am satisfied with the series and having it at my disposal. Each DVD has worked well.

I started watching the show during the 3rd season, watching from the beginning helped me to understand some character dynamics.

I liked the show and the story. It is easy to follow I have purchased the second and third season.

I don't usually like lawyer TV shows, but this one is pretty good.

This show is slipping, big time. Was once funny now is way to serious

Season 1 felt very similar to the then-recent Eliot Spitzer scandal, though more motivating as we got to see Alicia break away from the negativity, and successfully return to the career she gave up for her children and husband. We don't get to see much of the backstory of Alicia and others until Season 2 onwards, and the really exciting (and perhaps unrealistic) events until Season 5.

Though the first season gets off to a slow start, this is the by far the best show on network television. The interaction of the law firm with the workings of the DA office (headed by Alicia's husband) is fantastic. Has both great legal and political arcs. Anyone looking for something that is a little bit more sophisticated than the normal TV show, should definitely check this out.

I just love this show it has a better plot than Private Practice and Grey's Anatomy. I still watch them but at times it's okay if I miss them, but I wouldn't miss an episode of The Good Wife. The writing is fantastic and so are the actors. Excellent
