This movie sticks to the book somewhat. Takes place during a terrible time in the U.S. economy, but this movie speaks to everyone about hard times. Great acting and book!

Great film adaptation of the classic novel from John Steinbeck. The Dust Bowl and the Great Depression created desperate times for all Americans during the 1930s.

Steinbeck is my favorite author, but I was never able to read The Grape of Wrath so I bought the movie on a whim. I found it a good although depressing film. The only real issue I have is there really wasn't any closure at the end. This is unlike Steinbeck so I don't know if it this way in the book or not.
