Great old movie with Henry Fonda. Interesting trip. I believe I saw this movie years ago as some of it looked familiar.

I imagine censorship rules of the time prevented Steinbeck's actual ending from being filmed, but what is here flies right in the face of the novel. Performances are of their time (and good for the most part), but this is far from what it could have been. More hopeful than the book...which wasn't the worst choice a the time...it makes me wonder what the author thought.
