I have it in Blu-ray but I had to get it in 4k. The video transferred over into 4K was excellent, enough to where you would want to watch it again sometime soon after, or after a period.

Simply great. I watched this movie back in the 1970’s and to see it in 4K was fantastic. Steve McQueen,James Gardner and the rest of the actors were great. I served in the Military in the early 1970’s and it was great to see this movie.

One of the greatest films of all time. It's not possible to overstate how great this movie is. How can anyone watch Steve McQueen in this movie and not want to own a motorcycle! The acting fire power and talent in this movie is almost unequaled in all other films. The great escape is a must in the collection of anyone who likes movies. Watch and enjoy!

After watching the tale end of this film on tv, I found out it was one my mothers favorite movies, so when I stumbled across it in store in the discount bin, I had to get it! Its classic steve McQueen at his best! And the cast is excellent, many went on to be HUGE stars! I highly recommend this movie if you like great stories and or war movies!

The Great Escape is a classic war movie starring one of the greatest action stars of the era. Steve McQueen was taken from us far too early but showed how good an action movie could be before all the special effects and CGI started replacing great action stories and actors. Good for the kids who want to see how real movies were made...

Excellent World War II movie. Amazing international cast of actors. Of course my favorite be the king of cool myself Steve McQueen. Watch it ever time I find it on tv. Very glad to have in my collection now.

I just love Steve McQueen Movies, and this one is right up there with the best. As a leading actor he portrays his characters very seriously, and they make you want to be like them. He comes on like a common person, but with great valor and this Movie brings it all out. You want him to succeed so badly, and cheer at the end!

I had this on dvd and found it on sale at Best Buy as a blu-ray. The movie is a great. I think the blu-ray is a step up from the dvd in terms of picture quality and this had more extras than my dvd version. This is a movie I have watched over and over again. Having it in blu-ray makes watching it even more enjoyable.

This movie has a star studded cast that all have stood the test of time. Even a young David McCallum, which many will know affectionately as "Ducky" from the NCIS series. The movie looks great in Blu-Ray format and if you have an older copy lying around in an older format, this is worth the upgrade.

This film is loosely based on an actual historical event. It includes an all star cast in which each star gives it his all. Most people remember Steve McQueen's stunning motorcycle chase in the beautiful mountain setting That's why I wanted to see this in Blu-Ray and I wasn't disappointed!

Bought this as a blind buy when i was picking up an order. I had six bux in my wallet and found this in the bin. Great purchase. Fun, action packed, well acted, great cast, killer musical score. What more can you want. Maybe the transfer could be a bit better, but overall a good buy.

The cliché goes, "I may be old but I got to see all the really cool bands". In this case, I got to see this really cool movie when it first came out. Now I'm pleased to have my own copy and the price I paid for the DVD was about what it cost me to take my date and me to the theater "back in the day"!

Hadn't seen this classic in many years, so picked it up and thoroughly enjoyed seeing it again in beautiful HD quality. Then watching all of the bonus features was just icing on the cake...what a great deal for one of Hollywood's best "heist" like movies! And it's based on a true story!

One of my all time favorite movies now on 4Kuhd / blu ray. The Great Escape just shines in this format and the DolbyAtmos Audio brings out an extra dimension of enjoyment.

Have seen the movie several times on tv. We finally got our own Blu-ray copy for the new blue-ray DVD player we got at Christmas. We absolutely love our commercial-free copy! Thanks!

A true timeless classic! Compresses the true heroic action of an entire POW camps epic escape attempt to a few leading characters for cinemas sake. It's a bit long at 3 hours but a real treat for fans of the genre. An all star cast pays a real tribute to the heroic actions of these allied airmen.

Found this old gem in the bargain bin and it made a perfect gift for my elderly uncle, unfortunately though, he doesnt have a blu-ray player, so easy choice for christmas gift. But the picture is amazing when watching on a 4k tv. Its great to find old classics on blu-ray.

This is one of the best WWII films you'll ever see. It was the inspiration for Hogans Heroes. An all star cast takes you through one of the greatest prison breaks in history. And it's based on a true story. Great cast, drama, comedy and action. A must see for any film buff.

Hey, it's a Steve McQueen movie, if you know who that is then you need to buy this movie. If you don't know the man then you need to buy it, it's one of the best films to come out of this era. Oh, and because it's Blue-Ray format the picture quality is excellent!

Finally in 4K. This is one of the all time classic movies. Steve McQueen and motorcycles… AWESOME COMBINATION, and his acting ability is second to known.
