This movie shows the value oh freedom and price you pay to regain it. Eve though doesn't have the greatest ending, the fact that it actually happened, it leaves you with the thought to never give up.

Had fun with this one, hadn't seen it in many years and it still is a great movie as ever. The cast in amazing and who could forever forget the big motorcycle seen with Steve McQueen. Enjoyed it immensely!

Took a while for a decent blu ray of this to come out but this movie is insanely rewatchable and never ages. It's a long movie but hooks you beginning to end. And one of the greatest scores ever.

Fascinating WW II movie about fly boys working on escape from German POW camp. Much less bloody than today's war movies, although ending has some brutality depicted. OK for high schoolers and above.

Wonderful movie based on one of the most spectacular escapes during WWII. This is a must for Steve McQueen fans. He does his own motorcycle stunts as his character and the German motorcyclists as well.

Bought this "Great Escape" first reason it is based on a true adventure, I have heard of this movie off and on and was curious. What I did not know at the time of purchase it is a LONG movie

This film is jam packed with British and Hollywood stars. It is a compressed telling of true events and all the more captivating for it. Good plot, good script, good storyline, good movie.

Classic Steve McQueen...blu-ray video pretty decent...audio is pretty monotone, since only dialogue...it's all about the story...older generation type movie...I'm older so works for me...!

I remember having to watch this movie in my history class. It kind of tells the story about the war and what people tried to do. I really enjoyed it. Also I like the older movies sometimes.

I'd watch this movie classic on any format available. The audio and video quality are improved and the Bluray is a pleasure to watch on my new TV. The Great Escape is always recommended.

There's no arguing that The Great Escape is without a doubt a classic. The transfer is solid and looks good, the packaging was good even though it's a recycle case, happy with this one.

I would so wish they would make this movie in 4k. But bluray will have to do. This is such a classic film. I love watching it.

A true story that depicts how the allies in WWII try to escape and how they do only to be captured again. Did any get away and how many were killed and how did it happen?

I love this movie. It has action, suspense and drama. The only thing it lacks is the presence of female characters and I realize it is because of the storyline.
