Lots of action ,Fantastic Movie in 4K a lots of Detailed and Crisp ,

I loved this movie. Great action. Great 4K picture quality and sound

The Great Wall is a good old fashioned "monster" movie full of action and wonderful special effects. Matt Damon does a good job in the main character. It is a departure of his movies in the past. If you are looking for a Jason Bourne type movie you will be disappointed. If you want a couple hours of good old fashioned fun then this movie is for you. The only negative thing I can say about the movie is the attempts at humor fall short of hitting the mark. In spite of this, the movie is very entertaining and well worth watching over and over again.

To be honest, this film is predictable. It relies on Matt Damon being the hero and saving the Chinese population from these creatures. There is an interesting plot twist but that is not what this movie is about. It is about the war with the creatures and the Chinese warriors, men and women, and their battalions. Each specific duty is designated by their colorful uniforms. These colors really "pop" on to the screen in 4K. It is eye catching and interesting to watch when the Chinese fight in their brilliant colors against the creatures. This I think is the redemption of the film. Otherwise the movie is average at best.

I thought this movie was really terrific fun, with amazing graphic special effects. I was a little hesitant at first to purchase the 4K Blu-ray because of some of the poor reviews, but after researching and seeing that the film's digital intermediate was 4K (making it a true 4K release), I went ahead and purchased it. I was glad I ignored the 'film' critics comments about character development, story line, yadda, yadda. I really enjoyed this action movie for its excellent, colorful costumes, sometimes eye-popping detail, action, and great special effects. Watch it in 4K if you can. It'll be a treat and a good time.

‘This movie Stars Matt Damon and Pedro Pascal with a good minor role for Wilhelm Defoe and a slew of great Asian actors. This reminds me of a modern version of the old Bob Hope Buddy movies with a modern update. The story and the imagery are really well done. Damon and Pascal stumble into a kingdom in China that has built a Great Wall to protect from the invasion of creatures that invade every few centuries. This defense is their central organizing principal as a society and the battle scenes are impressive. Along the way (spoiler alert) Damon and Pascal split as the lure of “Black powder” proves to overwhelming for Pascal. Defoe plays a bit of a mentor who has lived in the kingdom long enough to give Damon and pascal advice on how to go along to get along. fun movie. Don’t listen to the critics. The Beastly creatures are quite impressive too!!!

This is a dynamic, fabulous film that is so creative, well done in all categories. The action never ends and is spell binding. The sets are amazing. All the art direction & CGI are so well done. Matt Damon is excellent in this film.

At first, I didn't think much of this movie when I heard about it but man. When I popped it into a Sony ubp-700 on a Sony 950G, I was blown away. Add good quality sound and bam! You got yourself a fun movie.

I like this movie, this action was great. I enjoyed watching it. I just want to buy this movie from Black Friday Sale.

Special effects are great on this movie, need a 4K TV and player to really enjoy this movie on the 4k version.

I have always wanted to watch this movie in 4K as it is full of special effects and action packed. When they put this movie on sale, I immediately bought it. And it was worth it!

Fun historic movie with creatures trying to get over the wall, action packed! Fun movie for the family

The Great Wall is an action/fantasy movie. If you understand that going in you will enjoy this movie. There are a couple plot lines taking place that are easy to follow and the CGI action scenes look great. It gives a whole different perspective on why the great wall of China was built. If you are a Matt Damon fan you will find that he was given ample room to perform, not his his best movie but not a stinker either. I enjoyed it.

Interesting movie, horror,sci-fi,feudal China meet for battle. Looks great on Blu-ray!

For a far fetched adventure to explain the reason for China’s Great Wall, I found it entertaining as long as you don’t try to make it something it’s not ( it’s not the greatest story ever told.) it is somewhat of a cross between the Three Musketeers, and The Battle of The Five Army's. Pure escape fiction that requires little thought to enjoy.

Great visual effects and sound at a great price!!!
