Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy make a great duo in this throw-back to 80's buddy-cop movies, only this time it's women. Paul Feig (Bridesmaids) directs from a script by Katie Dippold. Bullock is a work-alone FBI agent who must reluctantly team up with a tough-as-nails local cop Shannon Mullins (McCarthy) to solve a case involving a drug-lord who seemingly can't be caught. There are many laugh-out-loud moments and some great action scenes to satisfy just about any one. The blu-ray is packed with features that includes and unrated version of the film and several commentaries (one of which features the Mystery Science Theater 3000 guys). Highly recommend.

To be honest, I didn't expect a lot out of this movie going into it, even with Sandra Bullock. For me, Melissa McCarthy tends to be better (funnier, more tolerable, and less like a run-on sentence) in supportive roles (i.e. Bridesmaids). Surprisingly, and to my shock, I cried laughing to numerous parts of this film, and watched it 3 times in a matter of a week! Sandra Bullock definitely helps level out the movie and the two actors have great chemistry playing off each other. Really, the only reason I didn't give this movie 5 stars is the language... especially in the first half of the movie, Melissa McCarthy's mouth is on a major rampage and seems to be a little much at times. My husband, who really isn't a fan of hers for that reason, still ended up loving this movie as well!

I typically have low expectations for movies, no matter how great the comedic timing or acting ability of the actors. I was laughing with the first few minutes. Sandra Bullock is wonderfully straight, by-the-book rigid FBI agent. She's reluctantly paired up with Melissa McCarthy, who is wonderful in this character as a no-nonsense, brass Boston detective with a colorful vocabulary. She's hilarious in her first scene busting a john with a working girl. Good female "buddy" movie. So far everyone I know who was seen it has loved it. Lots of laugh-out-loud moments. There is much language but not so much nudity, aside from the occasional female anatomy comment. McCarthy is quickly becoming a favorite actress of mine.

Great movie, which we have watched a few times, and it has made us laugh like crazy each time, when of course in a silly mood. TWC was offering the movie for free as part of their on demand with our cable package. Glad we already saw the movie prior to TWC, so when we saw it was edited for TV and all the swear word were taken out it made the movie stupid, as that was one of the things which made it so funny. This movie is more for the grownups. I always refer people to IMDB.com for the plot, cast, bios, rating as they have the full description, also with the internet, and streaming devices the trailer is available. Both main characters worked great off each others personalities.

A VERY funny movie that is destined to be one of those comedy staples that is watched over and over or that you put on every time you are surfing and see it listed. Definitely more adult humor...wouldn't recommend for family movie night if you have young ones, but for teen on up it's great. I'm personally pretty tired of the same ol repackaged character for Melissa McCarthy, but this movie is the exception...she's great and it wouldn't be the same without her. And Sandra Bullock, who generally doesn't come to mind for comedy for me, is awesome and the chemistry between the two of them makes the movie. Great watch...again and again!

I had been wanting to buy this bluray to add it to my collection since it came out. I am extremely frugal so I am always willing to wait for a price drop or a good sale. Best Buy finally had this for a good price so I bought it. Sandra Bullock is probably one of the best and most underrated comedic actresses int the business. She has this sort of deadpan humor that cracks me up!! Melissa McCarthy is just a powerhouse comedian. Perfect timing and great delivery. I also love that she has great physicality. She's great in this film and if you haven't seen it, you should do yourself a favor and go get it today!

This is a funny detective show of two police force officers/detectives, and how they catch the bad guys and work together as a team of two.

This movie is pretty dang funny, however be ready for lots of salty language. To begin with its mostly on the part of Melissa McCarthy's character, but by the end Sandra Bullock's character joins in. It has a lot of funny dialogue and action scenes. Though it was funny I think they relied to much on the language to the the driving force of comedy. I think they could have toned it down a bit with the cussing, but that's about the only thing that kept it from a 5 star in my opinion. Still a really funny movie.

Melissa McCarthy is a master of comedy. Without giving too much away, she and Sandra Bullock are forced by circumstances to team up and go after the bad guys. Two very different people not only help each other succeed but also become friends and find personal growth. But all the time, it's the film's raunchy language and behavior, down to McCarthy's famous physical comedy, that keeps you interested in the story line while laughing out loud. Watched this with other family members and even their reactions were adding to the fun!

I saw this movie originally at the theater and thought it was hilarious. I decided to buy it to revisit the humor and I barely laughed the second time around. I love Melissa McCarthy and Sandra Bullock together but, for me, the movie lost something in the second viewing; it just wasn't nearly as funny. My recommendation is to buy the DVD if you didn't see the movie in the theater because there is an element of surprise that will leave you laughing, but skip the DVD purchase if you saw the movie during its theater debut.

Bought this for someone who like Melissa McCarthy. I prefer to think I watched it for Sandra Bullock because she is funnier to me.

Love love this movie! Wow great female cast! WowZa Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy! Wow the best cops duo ever! Entertaining and lots of laughs. I wanna see part 2. I had to watch over and over. Fun gal pal movie! Super cute. Makes me wanna be a FBI/cop with Sandra and Melissa.

Watched this movie thinking it would be just an ok movie. Well I was wrong, this movie is one of the funniest movies out there! The language is pretty bad in it which is usually a turnoff for us, but the movie is just so funny that you just can't stop laughing. Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy are great together. I rarely watch a movie more than once but have already seen this one 3 times. If you want to laugh this is the movie to watch.

I love just about any film with Melissa McCarthy - that woman cracks me up! This one highlights her politically-incorrect sense of humor, and her character is perfect when set against the prissy/perfect character played by the beautiful Sandra Bullock. I watched this film with my Wife and Kids, and all of us loved it - there were a few scenes not really appropriate for our younger one (9 years old); however, it was entertaining for us all. Well worth the watch!

McCarthy and Bullock deliver a laugh-out loud performance. The transient breaks of the storyline/plot is over taken by the comical scenes from McCarthy and Bullock, that one will forget about the story plot. The humorous lines provided by McCarthy and Bullock's reactions to them crate an entertaining vibe amongst the two characters.

When I first heard about this movie, I thought, "OK, another buddy cop movie, only with female characters". It certainly is that, but Bullock and McCarthy make it work. They seem to have good chemistry and play off each other well. It is better written than other movies of this type and includes some very funny moments (check out McCarthy's character's family). While not Oscar material, it's fun and worth watching.

This movie absolutely is not for children or those wishing to watch a movie with minimal profanity. The plot was great, special effects were good, and the profanity was so bad I had to close it out. Others were in my home watching this with me so I could not easily have cleaned it up, but I find that the amount of profanity, especially the vulgarness, served no enhancing purpose.

I wanted to get this movie ever since it came out at the theater but then forgot about it. I saw it was on sale at Best Buy via their circular one week so I decided that I would add it to my collection. I have very few Blu-ray DVDs so I was surprised byhow clear the picture is, it's a big difference from standard DVDs. As I said, loved the movie and look forward to buy others of the Blu-ray caliber.

This has some great comedic moments.. even a little action.. over all great movie..

Good movie, was able to order without going out of town. Got a good buy on a sale and was able to pre order a second movie also. Still wating for it but worth the wait, they said I'll get it the same day it's released in stores. Both actors are great and the movie held out attention though out the entire movie, with a change at the end we were not expecting. I would recommend the purchase of this movie.
