Bought this for my wife for Christmas last year. She absolutely loved it. Me too of coarse. Love the extra footage not in the original movies

Aside from the films being great, the quality and the overall package is great. I love that the chapters that are extended are marked so I'm not constantly trying to remember if I've seen this part before. Very happy with this purchase.

This review was tested, using the OPPO UDP-205 4K player: - All discs passed, zero flaws, no screen artifacts, no skipping. - Rich with sound and color. *I’m waiting for the 4K release of this trilogy.

I'm very excited to have gotten the Extended Edition Trilogy box set of The Hobbit to add to my Blu Ray collection. I've enjoyed the first two Hobbit movies and I'm looking forward to watching The Battle Of The Five Armies.

I am extremely pleased with the price and quality of the product. The only exception is that one of the attachment tabs on the inside of the jewel case spine, the center disk holders, was broken inside the packaging when purchased.

I had seen parts of all the movies but never the entire movie. We could tell the extended version was worth the money because of the parts we had seen before were much more detailed. Great movies, definitely held my interest.

My family and I truly love these movies! I feel they have good graphics, fight scenes, and acting! I had seen them in the theater and you get almost the same experience with DVD set. I would recommend them to my friends.

There is roughly 20-30mins more movie content in the extended edition, and some that greatly helps understand other elements in the story line. Highly recommend going extended edition over standard!

I'm a big Tolkien fan, and was very excited by the idea of a Hobbit movie (especially after the success of the Lord of the Rings trilogy). However, when it was decided to tell the story of the Hobbit in a trilogy format, it didn't seem like there was enough material. Well, by adding in various other elements of Tolkien's stories, they made it work, but only true Tolkien fans will fully appreciate the extra story elements.

So glad there is an extended version for each of these although personally I would have enjoyed another hour at least for each one. Masterfully done. I don't want to spoil any of the extra material but this is worth the purchase!

this collection is awesome all 3 hobbit films on bluray exfended versions, with hours of special features, a person can spend all day watching everything. also if you are going to own a trilogy like this it has go be on blu ray

This is not as good as the lord of the rings trilogy but it’s good enough and gives background to the other movies. Some of the scenes like the barrel ride down the river are too over the top and cause the movie to lose it’s realistic quality. Things like that I do not like but I would for sure recommend the movie. It’s still a good movie and it completes the lord of the rings story.

I have the 3D theatrical versions of this trilogy but wanted the extended scenes. The story is better told in these versions and the added scenes do the film justice.

Binge watched the three extended versions over new year's. What a great tale. 28 hours worth of extra features is a bit over the top. Wonder if anyone ever watches all of them? We did a few of them and they were interesting.

We have always loved the trilogies and the extended blu-ray does not disappoint. BestBuy sent it quickly and we were watching it three days later.

I was pleasantly surprised by the content in the extended version. It added some more humor and action to the overall film (which was already great).

This matches the quality and style of the Lord of the Rings Extended Edition Blu-ray box set, with exhaustive special features. AQ and PQ are absolutely stellar on this, and the extras are amazing. Thoroughly recommended.

Loved the trilogy. How the stories unfolded in each of the movies. The actors were great in their character roles. The scenery shots of New Zealand were superb!

Literally this is a must have if you love the Hobbit. It's a work of art. I love how it looks and it looks great with my Lord of the Rings set. I was waiting for this set to come out and I was so happy when it did!!
