I saw that the extended versions were finally in a box set and just had to get them! I love all the special features as well as all the extended scenes. For anyone who loves these movies will love this extra content.

I was pleasantly surprised by the content in the extended version. It added some more humor and action to the overall film (which was already great).

Loved the trilogy. How the stories unfolded in each of the movies. The actors were great in their character roles. The scenery shots of New Zealand were superb!

we all know about the hobbit series. the movies arent as fun as lord of rings series but it's ok.

I cannot watch Lord Of The Rings unless it is the extended versions, same goes with the Hobbit series. So much more to the story and films with these versions!

I've waited for a long time to get this version of this set. Never saw any of the originals and didn't want to double buy, but knew I wanted the best version for my collection. Glad I waited. Love all the features.

One of my favorite series out there. Both LoTR and the Hobbit are so good and I watch them yearly. Always make me feel happy whenever I watch them.

A lot of the extended footage is very cgi based but it’s still cool and adds more than the original.(obviously) I wouldn’t consider any other edition of these films.

I bought this recently and have already watched it twice. Only bad thing is when I opened it up, all the retainer clips inside were broken so all the discs fall out as soon as the boxes are opened. Wish it was in better shape when I bought it.

I loved all three films and saw nothing in it anywhere that wasn't done extremely well. I really loved new characters and the pace of these films was wonderful. I will enjoy watching them for along time to come.

Having devoured the extended versions of the original trilogy and spending many hours watching the fascinating appendicies, I was very glad to see the extended cuts of the second trilogy. Although for many reasons I do not feel that these movies are as strong as the Lord of the Rings, they are all wonderful, and the extra footage really adds to the stories. And once again, the extras are engrossing.

The movies are great. As others have noted, the package only contains a code that gives you access to a digital copy of the third movie. You DO NOT get codes for the first two movies. I contacted WB and they told me the offer has expired and they won't provide the codes for the first two movies. Very disappointing.

An awesome adventure finally made into a movie. Well worth the wait for the extended material put together in a trilogy pack. I already had The Lord of the Rings extended trilogy so fit right in my collection.

Great trilogy. Really gives you the basis for understanding how Bilbo Baggins and his adventures set the way for the lord of the ring trilogy.

This single multi-movie collection replaces the three individual sets I had to purchase to get the extended Lord Of The Rings movies. A great presentation of the movies. The bonus material is outstanding.

The hobbit movies are all fantastic. Yes they do not follow the books. But they never claim to be faithful representations of the books. They are BASED on the books. I love the extra stuff that was added.

what an amazing adventure come to life from the one book that started it all, by Tolkien. I like the extended editions because they extend the battles.

I love the Lord of the Rings trilogy and just HAD to have The Hobbit trilogy to add to my collection! The Hobbit is just as awesome as the LoTR movies...if you get it, you will not be disappointed!

I purchased this set for my son who has two young boys. He really likes that it is one that can be digitally downloaded. He likes being able to download it and not worry about the kids breaking the dvd

bought 2 movies online and 1 was missing the middle movie.went to best buy for an exchange and they replaced my movie ,no questions.very polite and courteous.will certainly be returning there again.
