Nice entertaining western. Two Oscar winners at work.

This was a really odd movie but I enjoyed watching it

The fact that he made this movie, with academy award winning actress Hillary Swank, shows his abilities. So many movies come out every year now, including small gems like these with top tier talent acting. Wish movies like these were more appreciated.

Good movie.that is different from most western movie genre

Not a super exciting but a good story if you like movies.

I really enjoyed this movie, included a little twist I didn't see coming. Hillary Swank just owned this movie, and Tommy was, well Tommy and he delivered as well. This is a well crafted movie, with good writing, directing, acting, editing, etc...

LOT OF GOOD ACTORS IN THIS MOVIE BUT A STRANGE MOVIE!

Both of these actors have impressed me in other movies but here it felt pushed over the bottom. Too many other films better than this one, though still strong enough that worth watching once.

With actors like Tommy Lee Jones & Hillary Swank, how can you go wrong in purchasing this dvd? And especially since it was at an affordable price, which is why I got it.

It's too bad Tommy Lee Jones didn't start directing earlier or more regularly, judging by his last 2 films, he could have perhaps had a career similar to Clint Eastwood. While the movie is slow, it is never uninteresting.

This a compelling Western that shows the draw backs of being a single Woman in the that period, my wife enjoyed this movie, and I thought that it was very good, and was shocked 3/4 of the way in.

It is very good to have Tommy Lee Jones back in a western like Lonesome Dove. It is a western like the old days and its good wholesome entertainment. Its a simple story and very well acted.

Big fan of Tommy Lee Jones and westerns, so I thought I'd give this a try. It's a decent movie but not great; a little too heavy on dialogue and not enough action for a western, plus the ending was a downer.

I was pretty disappointed in this western, and I thought Hilary Swank would have a more memorable role in it. To me, it was too dark of a plot for me to fully enjoy. It was an interesting plot, though.

This is actually a different kind of movie from what I expected from a western style movie. No frills. Reminiscent of an old style film. Kind of sad, but worth watching.

No wonder this movie never made it to the theaters. The movie was dark and disappointing at best. The acting was OK, but the plot was poor and if this is meant as entertaining is wasn't.

I wasn't sure what to expect, but this was a very good movie. I like westerns and this one doesn't disappoint.

Not a movie for everyone. Slow moving, a little long, good casting and performances, good photography, story just ok. Only for REAL western fans.
