This is one of the found footage type films where the victims cameras are after the fact, the beginning through the middle of this film are where it really shines, and shows some plot and creepiness. The ending falls short and leaves something to be desired, it's not a bad ending but it leaves me feeling incomplete and without closure. Out of the three people that watched this with me one absolutely loved it and thought it was wonderful, BUT the others and I felt it was mediocre at best and I love cheesy and campy films or horror movies in general but the this one is best to rent I would suggest.

I saw this movie on Hulu and had to buy it. Great for people interested in haunted houses.

I purchased this movie after reading reviews stating it was the best scary movie in years...actually it's like a Blair Witch Project (where you are watching a movie in which the main characters are filming the events) that takes place in various haunted attractions. New location concept but I really didn't find it to be very scary at all...

Not the greatest horror film of all time, but certainly not the worst either. Worthwhile "found footage" or "mockumentary" if you're into that sort of thing. The bonus features are good too, and includes a full length documentary which inspired the film. (A lot of the same footage in both, but the documentary is just as chilling)

This is a good movie but its somewhat disturbing on the bright side the documentary that inspired this movie is included with the film. After watching it the documentary made me feel a whole lot better.

A very fun found footage film about haunted attractions. The extras include an awesome documentary/original film. I had a few issues with the film, but was able to look past them and enjoy the film.

If you enjoy any type of horror attractions or haunted houses, this movie is just for you! Really creepy look at some haunted attractions around the US! The only bad thing is the ending, definitely could have ended better!

Good movie, worth the wait for BluRay. Slow to start but then got interesting and back on pace with the others....not sure how they are going to handle Phillip Semore's character in the final movie....

As always, I received the cheapest price at best buy. I watched digging up the marrow with I really enjoyed also an this trailer was on there. Glad I bought it. Thought it was very good.

Reasonable price considering its a best buy exclusive. The movie is a fun watch but it's not anything spectacular. Would recommend if you enjoy horror movies.

My only complaint of this movie is the ending was lacking. As a ex halloween scare worker it kept me interested throughout. Perfect movie to watch before going out on Halloween.

Good acting and a scary concept but shot mostly on hand held cameras so if that's not your cup of te I'd avoid this one but overall a pretty good movie

This movie was awesome but I ruined the actual movie by watching the "original footage" on the Special Features menu. Watch one or the other. They'll both creep you out!

Really good and really creepy. I'm tired of the found footage format but it works for this one. The end was a little lackluster but its definitely worth the watch.

Man what a crazy movie. Makes me never want to go to a haunted house again. Super creepy sets and costumes. Not for the faint of heart. Perfect for Halloween.

This fill is based upon a 2011 documentary of the same name, about a group of five friends traveling Texas to find the scariest haunted house possible. Both the documentary and the film are included on the disc, the documentary is very interesting and worth checking out but the film itself is completely formulaic and forgettable.

This film was about a group of people that go out looking for the hardcore haunted house. And what they find is way more than they wanted.

"The Houses October Built" is a much better thab average horror film, and a welcome homage to tge style of "The Blair Witch Project".

On a classic thriller. This movie will have you on the edge of your seat with tension and classic scares. Don't watch alone.

Awesome !!! loved it I have the dvd but blue ray has an extra bonus movie not on dvd . I am very happy with it !!
