Aside from the comic gargoyles, everything about this stellar Disney film aims toward a more adult sensibility. The songs are good and the cast--Hulce, Kline, D. Moore--excellent throughout. Looks and sounds great on Blu-ray, and the commentary adds to the value. There's also a 66-minute direct-to-video sequel that's less inspiring, but for $10, a great deal.

Package includes two DVDs, one for each movie, and a single Blu-ray disc containing both movies. It's a standard case with two hubs, so two of the discs have to be stacked together, which is cumbersome. It feels like the Blue-ray disc was included as an afterthought.

This one is kind a strange one. It seems like they did everything they could with the subject material and perhaps that was the limitation. The set itself is really nice and it wasn't very pricey for a disney movie. I'm upgrading for the kids (and future grandkids - I don't forsee blu-rays looking nearly as dated as a 20 year old copy of a VCR tape). The movie gets 3 stars, the set 5, so overall 4. If you love the movie, there is no reason not to pick this up.

I was in high school when this movie was released. My friends and I went to see every Disney release. We were shocked by the way the villain lusted after Esmeralda - in song, no less! As an adult, I really enjoy this movie. The gargoyles are a great comic relief and your heart really goes out to Quasimodo, who just wants to fit in. Just watch it yourself first before you sit your kids in front of the TV!

Maybe better for 7 year olds and up due to subject matter. My child asked several questions throughout and after the movie. Shows discrimination against those with differences. In my opinion this is a darker Disney movie. Has a good message in the end - teaches acceptance and kindness win in the end.

I personally love this film and find it to be one of the more underrated films in the Disney line up. It's certainly not your traditional Disney film, but it's got a great story line and a great underdog main character to root for. The price of this film is usually pretty consistent, so I say get it when you get around to it. No rush!

Disney seems to have the uncanny ability to take some of fiction's most gruesome and depressing stories and still make them lovable. While this version is no where near the Victor Hugo version, I still love it. The music is some of the best that you'll find with a Disney score. Very glad they finally turned this into a musical.

I grew up in the '90s, therefore I have a soft spot for 'The Hunchback Of Notre Dame' (as well as Toy Story, of course). For me this as a wonderful set because it has Hunchback part 1 and the direct to video sequel, Hunchback part 2. The second one was good on its own grounds, but the first one is a classic.

I was 9 years old when _Hunchback_ came out, and I have always enjoyed it. Although the songs aren't that great, the story is good. The message of acceptance is timeless. While this is very loosely based on Victor Hugo's great novel, it's still a good movie. It is not one of Disney's best, though. The pace of the film is good. The material is little darker in this movie, but kids should still enjoy it. The features on the blu-ray are great. Recommended.

My daughter loved the original Hunchback of Notre Dame movie that came in the package. It had a beautiful picture and great music. It also had a good story line. However I was disappointed with Hunchback of Notre Dame 2. It seems to be an afterthought that they really didn't put much time or effort into. I still gave 4 stars because I really only bought this movie for the original, number 2 was just a bonus!

This movie was really well done. There are parts of the movie that are inappropriate to show to very little children as it may scare and confuse them. For adults and older children, this movie is a high quality experience with real meaning sewn into it.

I had never fully watched The Hunchback of Notre Dame in the past. I'd only seen bits and pieces of it. I didn't even know there was a sequel! When I saw this two-movie combo and at a very reasonable price, I went ahead and bought it. It certainly was entertaining to watch and I liked it more than I thought I would. I do prefer the first movie over the second one but I enjoyed them both.

I know this is available on Disney+, however with all the extras on the Blu-ray it’s hard to compare so I bought it, great movie as it’s always been and strongly recommend if you like extra content.

I enjoyed watching this movie with musical on vhs as a kid. But now, I’m more into the blu ray disc and dvd combo pack in every early or latest Disney movies in nowadays with special features.

I never watched the Hunchback movies when they came out. I just wasn't interested. But I've been playing these for my kids in the van while we drive to school, church, etc., and I am pleasantly surprised by how much my kids enjoy them. The beginning of the first movie is scary - they almost kill baby Quasimodo - so I would suggest watching it with your kids the first time to get past the scary part.

Quasimodo is alone in a bell tower where he wants to live a free life. This is probably the darkest Disney animated film in memory with very adult themes. Although it's brooding and depressing, the movie is excellent for older audiences.

This is an awesome movie, but it really isn't for kids. The theme is too grown up. I truly don't believe a child under the age of 17 could possibly comprehend this movie. Sometimes it was a little too much for me to take. All and all, great movie!

I can remember seeing this one when I was younger, it looks great and sounds great now that it is on Blu Ray. The colors really POP out at you. If you don’t already have this movie then you need to add it to your Disney collection!!

My daughter loved this movie as a child so I bought this for my grand daughter and she asks to watch it every time she stays the night. The message of the film still rings true today. Don't judge someone by their physical appearance.

I needed this movie because we were going to see it at a dinner theater with the Disney soundtrack. I wanted the kids to be familiar with it and I couldn’t find it anywhere. I don’t know why I didn’t think of Best Buy first.
