    A good, grim ending...

The final chapter of The Hunger Games does a good job of capturing the heart and feeling of the final book. I don't usually like it when movie series split one book into two movies, but in this case the film makers did this so they could stay true to the content of the books. They managed it well. There are a few changes, but none of them are significant, and the story moves along well and ends satisfactorily. Don't expect to leave feeling great, but perhaps there's hope for Panem after all.

Great Conclusion to an Epic Story

For anyone who has watched the Hunger Games series of movies, this one could not be missed. It was exciting, surprising, and ended the way most had probably hoped. I was not familiar with the books so each movie in the series was full of surprises for me. It always leaves a bit of a void when epic stories such as these come to their end. This was true with Mockingjay Part 2. It had a good ending but I still would have enjoyed it if it had continued with other stories built from these.

The last of the films of the three novel story of The Hunger Games was true to the novel. The ultimate irony of the books is carried through to the movies, although the turn-around of Coin was a bit distracting from that main point. In spite of everything, Katniss comes through. I love the commentaries of the other movies and look forward to hearing this one. My FAVORITE star in the movie was Jena Malone. I'd LOVE to see her perform in person on stage some day. Buy this movie!!

Purely from a sound and video perspective this is a sight to be seen and heard! The surround sound is active in all speakers! The video draws you into the picture! This movie comes across as a bit of a letdown in that it is the end of a great story! That placed an unfair burden on this picture. If you can be objective about this movie you will come to see what a truly great franchise this has been and how well they did at telling this story through the camera's eye! Well done!

This movie wrapped up the end of the series very nicely. I liked how the movie wrapped up and everything that was covered. I think some parts were a little drawn out however it filling it most of the biggest gaps. The movie is packed with action which is always a plus! I think this movie looks great in BR and the sound was amazing as well even though it wasn't playing on Dolby Atmos at home. I recommend this movie specially if you want to finish the series with a bang!

A Great Movie Series Concludes Quietly

The Mockingjay Part II concludes the popular Hunger Games movie series. I found it to be a bit of an anti-climax though, as the promise of a Panem-wide revolution was fought mostly off-screen. Instead, the finale focuses in a personal way on our heroine Katniss Everdeen and her various relationships. The final plot twist at the end also seemed somewhat forced and predictable. But even with these faults, I still recommend this movie as a quiet end to an imaginative story.

I had read the books and was pretty excited when I heard they were making the books into movies. I was not excited when I heard they were splitting the final book into two movies. Mockingjay Part 2 does a pretty good job of following the end of part of the book Mockingjay but they did change a few things during and at the end of the movie that I don't understand why they changed what they did. Despite the changes, I would still recommend watching Mockingjay Part 2.

for the fact that it was so drawn out just as manner other movies now a day. Divide the last part into two and we can make double the money. Meanwhile I was pretty much over the whole thing at that point. I never did see it in the theater for that reason. I just waited for the disc. It was good entertainment as the other previous movies were and it finished the story as it should. It's worth the viewing and if you're into this genre you should enjoy it!

Loved the books, but try describing it to someone who's never seen it. Yeah, not easy. "No, no it's really good. Yeah, the kids have to try and kill each other but the rise and fight. Yes your teens can see". It was awkward. This movie was good but not great. Of course, I bought it to add to collection, and you do finally get to see the comeuppance of certain characters but it just wasn't the best one. Definitely worth a see though!

I didn't think I would like this series as I assumed this was a series designed to deliver a message and I don't look for life lessons in movies. To my surprise the action and storyline is actually very good. Yes, there is a message there somewhere, but I managed to look past that. All episodes held up well also which is rare in a series. I really didn't expect much in the finale, but I found it much more entertaining than I anticipated.

This was one purchased for my 12 year daughter. She has read the books, and seen the other movies. She enjoyed it. It did seem (the last 2) to be a little darker then the first. But I guess when you have a capital city and they control the regions and make a game out of service and killing of kids it can be kind of a dark topic. The family enjoyed it. Love the digital download as it makes it great to download to the ipad for trips.

I thought this was a good ending to what turned out to be a very good movie series. I was a huge fan of how they split the the last movie, but part two ended with a bang. It was a nice ending for the cast and crew. I thought it was better than part one just because part one felt so much like a precursor (which it really is). It just didn't have the footing that part 2 did. A good buy and good way to finished the collection.

First off, I really enjoyed the movie :). I read the books and watched the other three films, and while there are always those folks who go online to hate on a movie because it doesn't follow a book the way they expect, I really appreciated how these movies can and do stand on their own apart from the books. I loved the storyline, acting, cinematography, soundtrack ... good all around movie. My one complaint is that they split Mockingjay into two parts. When I watched Mockingjay Part 1, I immediately thought after the movie, "that was short." Then, there was this movie, which at times felt like they were stretching an hour's worth of content into a full length feature film. They did a great job of finding a pivotal point in Mickingjay part 1 to "pause" the story, but between the two films it really did feel like they could have just told the whole thing in one movie, and I'm saying that (at least, I think I'm saying that) not simply because both movies come from just one book. The movie was good, I had a great time watching Mockingjay Part 1 and Part 2, but I feel like - more-so than other films that do the same thing - I paid twice to watch two "good" movies when I very well could have paid once to watch one "great" movie.

I loved the Hunger Games series since they started, that said, Mockingjay Part 2 was my least favorite, simply because it was not as big, so to say. There wasn't as much action and the story began to drift to a softer conclusion than I would have liked. However, STILL AN AWESOME MOVIE. The steelbook case was really cool. The image was much more striking than the plain case version, and certainly a lot more durable. Good buy.

THIS BEING THE LAST FILM OF THE HUNGRY GAMES BRINGS A SOME WHAT SAD CLOSE TO THE TRILOGY . THE FILM IS QUITE FAITHFUL TO THE NOVEL WHICH WAS A DISAPPOINTMENT TO THE FAN BASE. HAVING NOT READ THE NOVEL I HAD VERY HIGH HOPE FOR A CLIMATIC FINISH BUT THAT'S NOT THE WAY THE NOVEL WAS WRITTEN AND PERHAPS IT WOULD HAD BEEN BETTER TO ONLY HAVE ONE FILM INSTEAD OF BEING IN 2 PARTS. STILL IT WAS ENTERTAINING., HOW COULD IT NOT BE?

A fitting end to the whole quadrilogy. Though veering from the pathos of the last book, the film took us to the heart of the matter: Love takes patience and more time than we realize to bring to comfortable fruition. The acting was really quite good, and editing Hoffman in and out was rather brilliant. My only wish would be that we would see the reformed and newly functional districts contributing harmoniously to society.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 is the exciting conclusion to the series bringing to a close the struggle of the tributes in their rebellion to end the games forced upon the people of Panem by the tyrannical regime that holds sway over the populace. It is Katniss against Snow to the end!! The Blu-ray also has an Ultraviolet Digital HD and 5 hours of bonus material, for those who like to plumb the depths of the film.

No Spoilers, The end of the saga finally out on disc. Since setting up a nice home theater, most of the movies I see are from Blu-Ray. So glad to get part 4 of the inaccurately named movie 'trilogy'. Full points to Best Buy for having it in stock and available when the store opened on release day. Not so many points to greedy movie makers for turning every last movie in a series into 2 parts just to milk a few more $$$$

I enjoyed this movie, but it was a little predictable. Since Philip Seymour Hoffman (Plutarch Heavensbee) passed away, he could not complete his parts in the film. They did a very good job of putting in clips and CGI to complete his part all the way through to the end of the movie. Realizing that President Snow is evil, Katniss has to determine if he is the only "evil" facing the integration of all the people of Panem.

Katniss Everdeen. True to her beliefs (Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen) does not disappoint in what is purported to be the final chapter in the Hunger Games trilogy. Dispite alluding to her allegiance to the rebel cause (Coin and Plutarch), Katniss never gives up on Peeta, nor reneges on her promise to bring down Snow. Do Katniss and Peeta find peace and comfort in post-Snow Panem? You be the judge!
