Linkin Park is back!

If you love Linkin Park, this is the first must-have album from the band since "Meteora". Even if you enjoyed the band's softer turn on their last 3 albums ("Minutes to Midnight", "A Thousand Suns", "Living Things"), this incorporates a little of that electronic sound into the rock sound that made them popular over a decade ago. Of course there are softer songs on here, but they are almost immediately followed up with a harder sounding one, which gives this album the perfect blend fans have grown accustomed to.
Whether you're a long-time listener of Linkin Park or are just getting into them, "The Hunting Party" is by far their best album in a decade, and cannot be missed.

Definitely a great callback to great hard rock we used to listen to back in the 90s and so on. I've stopped listening/following Linkin Park after Minutes To Midnight and not for the reasons you'd think. I wish I still kept up with them and after hearing this album, while its not their best, it still delivers some awesome music and glad to say that they are still my #1 favorite band.

I'm never disappointed with Linkin Park's music; their style manages to satiate my taste in music more consistently than any other band ever has.
Don't get me wrong, I like lots of other bands, and lots of types of music, but Linkin Park is my go to because they have such a diverse style. Even if an album doesn't catch me right away, it tends to grow on me quickly. I can not say this for any other band I like.
I hope they are around for a long time to come.

I really enjoy Linkin Park. They have varied greatly throughout their albums trying different things. Some songs work for some folks, some don't for others. For me, some of the songs didn't quite hit the mark. The album isn't bad, I think I just enjoyed their last one more. Maybe after a few more plays it will grow on me.

Return to form, but away from diversity

The excitement surrounding Linkin Park's return to a heavy rock sound on The Hunting Grounds is warranted, but the album as a whole sounded just a bit too homogenous. The album is certainly good, but too much of the same (or at least similar) on every track hold this album back from being as good as Hybrid Theory.

My first listen through I was happy it was a harder album but have not listened to it enough yet to really get into the songs. I am hoping this is not another 10,000 Suns. They did better with Living Things. Hey Chester, make an album with the DeLeos and Kretz!

The Hunting Party is a huge departure from A Thousand Suns and Living Things. Seems like some of the stuff they recorded before Hybrid Theory actually. I like the change of pace, but wish the album as a whole was as hard. Still a good listen though.

Looks like Linkin Park has decided to get back to their roots. I, for one, have enjoyed listening to LP grow and change throughout the years. Now it sounds like they have brought back that Hybrid Theory sound that made them hit the mainstream. Definitely another must have for all Linkin Park fans.

I'm a big LP fan and because of that I enjoy their music. This definitely has some vibes from their first album, but only a bit. Its definitely a great addition for any fan and definitely great as the next entry as the last one was so so.

A more rock based album and for the most part that's a good thing. Not as good as their first 3 albums but much better than a thousand suns and about as good as living things.

Would recommend to all fans of old linkin park. More instrumental and raw sound then they've ever done before. This is a record that a lot of people will enjoy, especially fans of the people featured on this record.

Heard good things from a friend about this CD so I bought it. 1000% Happy! Great CD! Reminds me of the first 2-3 CD's from LP rather than the last 2-3 which have been much more mellow.

Linkin Park is one of my favorites. Every disc is unique yet still having the Park flavor. Take some time listening to this band and it some of the songs will become obsessions.

I have to be honest, I expected a lot more from this album especially after their last album was so awesome. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that good either. Reminded me of 90s punk like Pennywise or Bad Religion more than their past albums were specifically unique sound.
