Paul Newman and Jackie Gleason, along with George C. Scott make this one of the greatest movies of all time. Pool is simply the backdrop. Piper Laurie is great! Like movies? Watch this.

Most kids today have probably heard of Paul Newman, but I bet they have no idea who Jackie Gleason is. Gleason’s “Minnesota Fats” is an icon. And I found this gem in the bargain bid!!!

movie in 4K, then spend the money. Regardless, you not having a 4K tv, you’re spending the same if just purchasing a Blu-ray. It gives you a reason of purchasing a 4K tv in the future=D

This movie is done so well on so many levels that it should hold a place on the top 100 of all time. The acting, the plot and the pace hold you as you journey along this tale of discovery and redemption.

If you haven't seen this classic yet, then I say that it's time that you did! Newman and Gleason are awesome in this film! A must see for any film fan, Newman or Gleason fan or if you love playing pool!

For me this movie reminds me of the late nights as a teenager watching the classics with my Meme. If you have those kind of memories and love to see actors "act" not do all stunts. This is for you!

If you like the old dusty, smoky aspects of the old pool halls this give an excellent example of them. It is also exciting as a pool player to watch Jackie Gleason make his own shots without a double.

The staff pointed me in the right direction and the gentleman who was working in that area knew right where to look. That was a nice touch.

Saw the film years ago and seeing it again, I can say it still packs a punch.Not necessarily a feel good film, unless you feel good about excellent performances.

A 1961 movie that is set in the shady world of smoke-filled pool halls. Paul Newman plays a damaged character who fears winning as much as losing. Good movie.

What more can you say ....... it's a great movie, a classic. Newman was robbed of the Academy Award for his performance. The Blu ray has a great picture and sound quality. Highly recommended!

The film is excellent. The extras are very watchable. If the price is right, get the BestBuy exclusive version instead - includes the same disc but is unique.

With any Paul Newman film, you can expect top notch acting & a great storyline. The Hustler is no exception. Him & Jackie Gleason are fantastic! I'm just happy it's now on blu ray.

The website shows a pic of the BluRay cover but says it's a DVD. I took a chance on it and I received the BluRay, which is great because that's what I wanted. Great movie.

I prefer Color of Money but this one’s great too. Cool to see Newman, Scott, and Gleason all in one place.

I'll watch anything with Newman. One of the coolest actors. This is one of his best roles. Also, the blu-ray transfer is sharp and the extras are worth watching.
