First off, I must say I had no intention of watching this movie! It just didn't appeal to me - Seth Rogan & James Franco - didn't appeal to me - then my son had it on the tv while I was cooking dinner. I was drawn into the story and ended up really liking it! No one was more surprised than I was, when I sat down and watched this movie till the end....

This film is funny with a few laugh out loud moments. But all that aside, it is not a blockbuster. I feel that the controversy about its subject matter of North Korea and mocking its leader made the headlines more than the actual merit of the film. It was banned from theaters for safety concerns and so when it came out we all flocked to see it out of curiosity!

When I first saw the trailer for this movie, I did not think I would like it. When it was released on blu-ray, and for a really cheap price, I purchased it. I was not disappointed. This movie is really funny & entertaining. Both the story & plot were way better than I expected it to be. I highly recommend it to anyone who was on the fence like me.

If you have seen any of the other movies Seth Rogan has done then you already know what to expect from this film. It is raunchy and hilarious. And at the same time odd that this was produced years before North Korea started to be active on the world stage. Its worth a cheap laugh for sure.

I love this movie which I would not have seen it if the premier of North Korea had not condemn it. It was a surprise for me that I thought it would terrible but a happy surprise that it is good. I also got a price match with this purchase when I explained that is was lower at another store. I was even happy they applied it.

I thought it was a funny movie. I recommend it to people who enjoy films with Seth Rogen and James Franco. I have to say that there were moments that things got annoying, but it was still entertaining. I also don't think it was worth all of the controversy when it was just a comedy with crude and vulgar humor.

Although the movie was indeed funny, I don't understand how Sony and North Korea could make such a big deal over this movie. Yes, it doesn't depict North Korea's leader in a very flattering light, but then again his actions kinda lead us to believe that he is what he is. Overall a good movie.

Despite all the hubbub this was an entertaining movie. Of course you can't take it seriously, it is a work of fiction and a silly one at that, but as a movie it had some funny lines and situations. The story is insane and scattered, but is pretty funny and worth the watch.

I have to admit I was curious about this film after hearing about all the controversy. I guess here in America we are used to having comedians poke fun at our politicians. This wasn't anywhere near as shocking as I was anticipating, but it was good for many a laugh!

This is one of the best comedy movie I have seen. It touches American culture and Asian culture and have a well-balance approach for the humor and jokes inside. Many jokes may seem exotic or foreign to a particular culture. But if you are familiar with both, you will appreciate the creativity expressed in the movie. I live it, and have seen it multiple times. Probably will go back to watch if from time to time.

A really enjoyed this movie. It was full of laughs mixed with some serious issues many people may not have been aware of. I can't always get into the comedic frame of mind which is the only reason I did not give this five stars. Otherwise I really enjoyed it.

I bought this movie out of protest because it was pulled from the theaters but it was worth the price of the DVD. It was funny and dumb and exactly what I expected from the cast and subject matter. It was meant as a comedy, not a documentary so don't expect an accurate overview of life in North Korea. Instead, think of it as any other dark comedy that bashes a bad guy while making sure good prevails. It was dirty, raunchy, funny, stupid, sometimes a bit sad and at times, puppy cute! Watch it with a drink or two and some snacks and enjoy it for what it is, a comedy.

The Interview would have been another popular Seth Rogan escapist movie, but it turned into an American free speech statement thanks to Kim Jong-Un's protests. And how refreshing to see Rogan notch down the childish potty mouth jokes and raunchy scenes.

I loved it. The guys who brought you This is the End have done it again. And by "it" I mean made me laugh out loud. Considering all the controversy surrounding this movie it was well made, shot and directed, and I thought, down right funny as hell.

Sure it caused a lot of drama and it was well worth it. It may not be Rogen or Franco's best film to date but it's definitely worth viewing. Personally I laughed all the way through and I'll never hear Firework again without thinking about a tank

I had been waiting for this movie to come out for a while. I knew from the before the movie hit theaters that is was going to be stupid comedy. It is funny and has some funny quotes. Its a cheap movie that would be okay to watch a time or two.

This was the first movie I ever had to buy the iTunes Digital Copy of in order to see due to the semi-ban that was forced on this movie. But after watching the iTunes Digital Copy of The Interview, I knew I had to buy the Blu-Ray. This is the funniest controversial comedy of 2014!!! If you liked, This Is The End and Neighbors, you will love this movie. It is really funny.

This one was way too close to current top news stories. If I wasn't in my own home, II'd think I was in North Korea. Great spoof of the media salivating at grabbing headlines at any cost, even to the point of being recruited by the intelligence community in an all too believable attempt at eliminating an enemy who's insecurities touch home.

I know there was a lot of attention to this movie because of the political implications. With all that aside if you enjoy the comedy of Rogen/Franco chances are you will enjoy this movie. It has some wonderful writing, great progression of story, and the characters are more than 1 dimensional. Worth watching at least once for those that are skeptical.

All those movie lovers this is one that I had been searching for awhile n purchase & added to my collection. This movie is sure to make you laugh if u love comedy like myself. This movie w make u laugh
