My wife grew up with this movie and really enjoyed the songs and music contained within. I am a lover of animated movies so I really wanted to pick it up. This version comes with both the DVD and Blu-Ray disc and digital copy as per normal Disney Diamond Editions. The film itself is remastered and looks good on the wide screen. I cant speak much to the special features for kids as I was not interested in those but I did enjoy the deleted scenes. Its a good flick for kids as well since the animation is constantly bombarding you with flashing and "chaos" like some other animation today.

I love the old school animation. It's brilliant and will always hold up to the 0s and 1s of the digital era. Also, the infectious, upbeat songs are so great. They aren't the typical Disney songs and seem a lot more influenced by outside genres like jazz. and more contemporary pop. There's a great story here for kids and adults to enjoy. Disney treat the film on Blu Ray with great care and love. The picture quality is excellent and the special features offer fantastic insights into the making of the film which was the final animated feature that Walt Disney oversaw while he was alive.

I have loved this movie since I was a wee child, so finding this nice "limited edition" was quite thrilling. It contained plenty of extras and it is honestly one of the best looking cartoon-animated movies I have ever seen restored. You can't really argue with the price, as it was just over 20 dollars when I bought it and Disney movies don't really budge from there. This edition is definitely worth that price, however, as there is a nice little booklet of extras, the DVD as well as the Blu-Ray, and a digital HD copy for any ultraviolet account you may own.

Disney's Diamond edition movies are a great combination of versatility and enjoyment. The movie is, of course, a classic, with great music and fun banter. My wife and I have enjoyed this movie since we were children and are happy to own this one ourselves. Moving forward, we have the option of watching this in our living room, via the blu-ray, and digitally when we are traveling/in another room of the house. In the years to come as we start a family we will have multiple options with which to share this classic film with our children.

This was the first ever movie I saw in theaters and even now I still get a thrill watching it! I have been collecting the Disney Diamond Edition movies for a while now and this one does not disappoint. There are tons of extras, a digital copy for those of you with kids on the go and a DVD version to loan out to friends who have been living under a rock and not seen this yet! Seeing this movie in 1080p really brings a smile to my face, every kid needs to get this movie. Young and old alike!

I am happy to have this film as part of my Disney movie collection. This is one of my favorite all-time classic from Disney too. A great price when Best Buy had it recently on sale, so I snatched. Glad was able to get it.

I was excited to add another Disney movie to my daughters collection. When this came out for the first time on blue ray I was super excited. Even happier that a free toy came with it for my daughter. She loves the toy and cannot stop playing with it! Wish they would release all of the Disneys but that's what makes it exciting when it comes out and especially on blue ray! I am always happy when I go and leave Best Buy!!! I mean who cannot love that store!!!

The Jungle Book is a masterpiece; one of Disney's best. In terms of animation, there are few hand animated features that surpass the believability of animal anatomy. Every animal looks real and moves in a manner that is believable as far as creating the illusion the lifting and landing of weight. Also full of unforgettable characters and songs which will remind you of your childhood and keep you coming back for years showing it to your kids and grandkids.

After seeing the new movie, I realized my kids have not seen the original cartoon. Picked it up at my local Best Buy and very glad I did. This is truley a Disney Classic and it brought back a lot of memories. Nothing against CGI, but it was nice seeing some original cartoon art work. Blu ray transfer was very clear and the audio was great. It was on sale for the combo for $19.00 which is a good price. Highly recommend.

The movie itself needs no review, it's a Disney classic for a reason. The Blu-Ray, however, could have been better. Chief among its problems is the "digital cleanup" of the picture. The movie is nearly 50 years old...it was drawn by hand and was presented on FILM. It should not look like todays CG animated films. There WILLl be film grain and a bit of "analog noise" to the picture and there SHOULD be. That is part of the legacy and charm of the film. That being said, the picture is bright and colorful and you can still make out the sketch lines as the hand-drawn characters move, so the "digital cleanup" hasn't removed all of the artistry. The sound has also been spruced up and its modernization was handled far better. Those with a surround sound setup will marvel at all the ambient noises and directional audio cues. A great movie with a decent Hi-Def presentation.

This Disney Classic is a movie which can be enjoyed by people of all ages. The story keeps you involved and the musical numbers will not only bring a smile to your face but also leave you humming the tunes long after you've finished the movie. This timeless classic can and should be enjoyed together by the whole family. So turn off your phones, make some popcorn, gather round the T.V. and forget your troubles for a little while.

I was so excited to introduce my kids to this classic movie. I loved it as a kid and loved showing it to them even more. The quality as a blu-ray is excellent, of course and the bonus features were also great for learning some things I didn't know about the making of the movie. Diamond Edition Disney movies are a great investment for passing on the Disney legacy to your kids or younger family members.

I remember going to a local theater as a kid and watching this Disney classic. While there have been remakes, to me nothing is as nice as the originals. The colors are bright and the characters fun. Blu Ray and a HDTV make the movie better.

This is a childhood classic movie that I wanted our family to enjoy with the next generation of little ones. We have watched the blue ray on the new t.v. and with the vibrant colors and picture quality you get drawn into it! I just hope that it never gets scratched. I do own many good movies on VHS. I do not plan to replace them all but this is one that I really wanted. I am extremely happy with my purchase.

The Jungle Book" is one of the first Disney Movies that I watched as a kid. I bought the DVD, and I saw the movie today for the first time in around 12 years. The entertainment value is surprisingly still there, and more over, as a grown up movie fan, I can appreciate the film more as a classic in animated films from Disney & not just a 'cartoon' to pass the time, like I considered it to be as an adolescent.

I don't remember how many years (or decades) it is since Jungle Book first came out in the movies but when it did it was a great day. My son loved that VHS tape. Later we got a chance to see it in much greater quality on DVD. Well, here we are with the Same old thing, not quite. We have the Blu-ray version and now instead of buying it for my son ( who is turning 47) I bought it for my grand son. It is great.

a fun nostalgic revisit for me and my little sister as we bonded and watched this together.

I purchased this for my four year old grandson who had never seen it. My three children grew up on Disney movies and I knew my grandchildren would love them as well. On Christmas morning when my son put this in the DVD player things got very quiet but when the singing started, my 44 year old son sang along. At the end of the movie he told his son this was his favorite movie as a child.

It's the animated Disney classic that millions love. I purchased this so that I would have a physical copy of it in case Disney ever decides to remove it from their streaming service.

A great presentation overall, one of the classic Disney movies. The new surround mix is excellent. The HD picture is good, colors are bright and it's very eye-catching, but it suffers from being overly processed. A lot of the natural grain has been removed to make it look "cleaner" but that also takes away from some of the character of the original presentation. Still recommended.
