The graphics are great and the amount of selectable characters is pretty extensive, unfortunately the online matching is very lagging and slow. If you ever played another king of fighters before expect exactly the same gameplay but with inproved graphics.

Ok game it is fun but thought it would have more animated charachters

I'm a long time fighting game fan and a long time fan of the KoF series. King of Fighters has always been known for having an extremely huge learning curve. Almost making it a bit unapproachable for new comers who are curious about the series. The best part about this new addition is that it has made the game more approachable with a great tutorial system and new Rush modes which gives flashy combos using only one button for lower damage. In comparison to Street Fighter V, the game ultimately feels like a more complete package with a full blown arcade/story mode, mission, survival, time attack and VS CPU mode and a huge roster of over 50 diverse characters right out of the gate. The graphics and netcode are probably it's poorest attributes, while KoF 14 is by no means an ugly game graphically, it certainly isn't the same caliber as Street Fighter V, Mortal Kombat X, Guilty Gear or Tekken 7 when it comes to graphics. It looks like an extremely polished Ps3 game if I had to compare. The netcode, while not as bad as 13, has only slightly improved with lag during matches still being overly present more than it should be. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with KoF 14, it is extremely fun to play and learn and has a lot of potential to grow and reestablish itself alongside Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter and Tekken as a top fighting game.

KOF 14 is a gem of a fighting game and it trumps sf5 and mkx in every category roster size and gameplay.if you want to pick up a next gen fighter pick up this one.

With so many characters and a solid system in place this is a good fg to learn or jump onto if you are a kof fan!
