Great little-known show entirely directed by the fantastic Steven Soderbergh. Beautifully shot, a bit gory during the surgery scenes--a good replacement for Boardwalk Empire if you want a nice period piece

Have to say , this is probably Soderbergh's very best work. Absolutely beautifly shot & acted. Just short of a masterpiece. Do yourself a favor and watch The Knick, you will not be disappointed.

I love this show so much I bought several copies of the first season when it was on sale for $10 and gave them out to friends and family to spread the word! Highly recommended!

I found the subject is interesting but not everyone will like it. It's when the "modern" medicine introduced around 1900. Performance is great. Some parts are realistic and some parts are more dramatic for story purposes. Overall an enjoyable one.

First heard of this series from a neighbor, first episode had my wife and I hooked and it only gets better further into the series. Would not recommend watching around children!

The Knick is a gritty look at medicine in the early 1900s. While it's not entirely accurate, it is a very engaging show that keeps you interested. Can't wait for season 2.

One of the nurses I work with said she started to watch the knick....bought it and ended up binge watching it. As long as you don't have a weak stomach this show is great!!

A study of the professional and personal lives of the staff at New York's Knickerbocker Hospital during 1900. The hi-definition sound is outstanding. The acting is great.

I watched and thoroughly enjoyed the first season of this show, and even though I have only just begun to watch this second season it is just a good as the first.

If you are weak stomached, this isn't for you hahah. This series is well put together and not an episode is boring. Everything keeps snowballing till the end.

This series is not for the faint of heart but I enjoyed the first season. I had not seen it on tv and wanted something new to watch. I would buy it again.

Steven Soderbergh's return to television after an illustrious film career does not disappoint. Clive Owen is superb and should consider his career revived.

Fair warning...once you start this show you won't want it to end. I binge watched it in one sitting. Can't wait for season 2 to come out on shelves!

Once again, too bad this show has been cancelled but it is still worth getting the seasons that were made. very good acting and writing.

If you like Downton Abby and medical tv shows or other early period shows you will love this show as well. A great DVD with lots of great extras.

Clive Owen is awesome as usual, and the show is fascinating as it shows just how far modern medicine has come in the past century.

I really enjoyed the tests and turmoils the characters had to overcome in the first season. I'm looking foreword to season 2.

My biggest takeaway is that cocaine was used for everything. Brilliantly acted and fascinating to watch. A fantastic show.

It is a great show. It is dark but very realistic. The drama is very compelling. Clive Owen is a tremendous actor.

Great price for a great series. Looking forward to watching it. 5 star rating is due to the $9.99 price point.
