Writing this review mainly for the price i got it for. 8.99 is a steal. The game itself is def worth checking out for the story and gameplay.

Perhaps the best game of the PS3 console, it came out at the end of the PS3's life when most were already placing theirs in closets and preparing for the arrival of the PS4 and XBox One. The Last of Us Remastered is a great experience on the PS4 and if you missed it on PS3, now ther's no excuse. The music and characters of this story are fleshed out very well and add depth to the story happening around them as you follow a father who's lost his daughter, and a young girl who just may be the answer to the question of whether a cure can be found or not. Moving away from the concept of Zombies as a mere horror gimmick, this is as much a story of a Pessimist who finds hope in a young new daughter, more than an apocalyptic plot.

So I've have said this so many times this week, The Last of Us Remastered is a must own for the PS4 owners. If you played it when it was on the PS3, and you now have a PS4, owning it again will not be a mistake. The enhanced graphics and upped frame rate, thanks to the PS4 engine, is a welcomed addition. What you get is an already beautiful game looking even more beautiful and running so smooth at 60fps. And now with a camera option, you can catch some of your many tense moments. The only possible downfall people might bring up is the price point. But I would say $39 is fair enough, plus you are getting the DLC Left Behind at no extra cost. Look do yourself a favor and pick up this masterpiece! You will not regret the choice!

Whoever voted this game as GOTY wasn't lying. Especially that it's been remastered for PS4, and at a great price you cannot go wrong. If you love the Uncharted series, this game is for you.

If you love video games and you have not played this game, I don't know what you're doing with your life. Without question one of the top 10 video games of all time. Even casual gamers would get a tremendous amount of enjoyment out of this. Great story, great action, smooth controls, and a variety of difficulty settings for any and all video game experience levels. The fact that this version is Remastered and includes the DLC makes it an even better purchase. An absolute bargain even at regular price. If you own a PS4, you must own this game. If you don't own a PS4, this game alone makes buying a PS4 worth it.

Simply and outstanding game. Engaging story, solid gameplay, suspenseful action. Hope the sequel lives up to the hype and its predecessor.

The main reason I converted back to PlayStation (PS2) from XBox was primarily due to this game series and it did NOT disappoint. The graphics, storyline, characters, attention to detail and gameplay are captivating. This will definitely be a game I play through multiple times. To this day I can’t decide which part of the game was better, the gameplay or the story/attachment to characters. Naughtydog and their partners spared no expense and took no shortcuts into producing this game. Highly HIGHLY recommend!!!

Been wanting to play this for a while. The story pulled me in and kept me playing. The controls could be a bit more polished. Game does a good job of creating tense moments.

I really enjoyed this game, a heartbreaking work of art. Wonderful story and characters. A beautiful game as well. I already owned this on PS3, but couldn’t pass up the price. The only bad thing I can say is the gameplay has some issues. Fighting and gunplay just seem off. Wasn’t a big fan of the stealth parts of the game. These are very minor though, and could just be my gameplay preference. Buying this is a no brainer. I was playing TLOU2, but I switched back to replay this game. This is the best of us by far.

The only reason that I did not give this game 5 stars is because I was able to complete it in about 15 gaming hours. That is well short of what I could see as potential in both the story line and the "adventuring". They move you forward in the storyline in some cases months and I think that building the story in such a way navigating a map to get to the locations across country that you have to go to would have been an awesome addition to the game and deepened the story as well. Having said all of that, I did find myself getting attached to the characters and the struggle was believable for the most part. I always hate having to shoot someone 6 times with a gun to kill them but an arrow puts them down with one shot. But the game play was good, a lot of suspenseful moments walking in dark hallways anticipating the inevitable attack, all of that was positive and I appreciated how that influenced the game play. All in all, playing the game has made me eager to play the next one and even though it felt like I got through it way to fast, the time spent in the game was worth the 4 star rating. I will add that I only paid $20 for the game because I bought it just recently so that lessened the sting of only getting to enjoy it for about 3 or 4 gaming sessions.

This game was put together well. The story, the game play, the action. the ability of things you can do. It was well done. I enjoyed playing this game. i Highly recommend it.

I played The Last of Us originally on the PS3 and when I saw that they released it again on the PS4 I just had to have it. If you're into story driven games that give you the ability to explore and navigate through the environment many different ways .... this is the game for you. The graphics, story, acting all are ridiculous and will keep you playing for hours. You'll say to yourself, "I just want to see what happens next". Even more amazing was how the story grabbed the attention of my wife. She hates games but sat down a little to see me play and enjoyed just watching. Her comment ... "It's like watching a movie". She couldn't wait to see how the story concluded.

I read about this game long before I even owned a PS4. Now after having played through it, I can truly say it will remain at the top of the list of the most extraordinary and rewarding gaming experiences I've ever had. This title is a gold standard of the capability of a game to achieve depth, story, art, and a human connection with the player. My wife who is a casual gamer even wanted to watch me play because she was also so immersed into the fantastic story line. The Remastered edition is great not only because of the enhanced graphics and beauty, but it includes the prologue game and story: Left Behind.

I've played well over 200 video games in my lifetime and I can't remember ever playing a game with such a story like this. The characters are amazingly acted, the environment is incredibly immersive, and I'm still thinking about the ending more than a week after finishing it. In addition to the significant visual upgrades present in this version, you get all of the previously-released downloadable content on the disc, making this not only the best version of the game, but also the most affordable. If you have a PS4 (or a PS3) and haven't played this game, buy it now. BUY. IT. NOW. (just make sure you don't get spoiled on the ending before you get there)

I played The Last of Us when it was released on PS3. I remember my amazement at how well the game was made and much to my excitement was released and remastered on PS4. So I strapped myself in for the ride again, I played the game on the new and extremely challenging grounded skill level. Again I was absolutely blown away, this game is the perfect mix of theatrics and game play, every bit from the character acting, the random banter as you're walking around, and the intense enemy encounters with both infected and non-infected. I still intend on giving it a 3rd play through and the expansion that comes with this edition was an amazing addition to the story.

I played this game briefly on Ps3 and it was amazing, the graphics, the environment, the grittiness, everything was top notch and I immediately stopped playing the moment i heard it would be remastered for ps4. This game is SHARP. It is not something new, it is the exact same game, but the images, the lighting, the expressions are soooo much better. I am hooked on this game and even thou it is not a trully new game, anyone who liked Uncharted and Resident Evil will love it. GUARANTEED. And, It comes with the expansion pack Left Behind included which gives Ellie a human element that really draws you into the story... I LOVE IT and recommend it.

Thrilling and entertaining. Must have for any fan that enjoys a great game with a great story. Amazing replay factor, graphics are amazing, Play the main story more than once while playing side missions. Be prepared to cry and feel the emotional roller coaster this game takes you on.

One of the best games that I've ever played gets a great port to the PS4. The price is great considering you get all the DLC content including the single player. The game itself has some of the best graphics I've seen which get improved on the strong PS4 system. The game play is diverse and enjoyable allowing the player to choose their style (ie guns blazing or stealth or both). I don't think there's been a story and plot in a video game that's been told with such wonderful performances and amazing characterization. Overall, this is a fantastic games and if you're a video game fan of any kind, this game is well worth your time and money.

I am only about half way done at the moment, but so far the game is beautiful with a very good story. I did not play it on ps3 so this is a new game for me. I'm not in love with the controls IE: switching weapons and such. Not much more to complain about, its a pretty hard game, as the bad guys are tough to kill, both people and zombies, but that's not a bad thing.
