Slow to start, acting may have been okay for young folks, but it didn't hold our attention. Didn't finish watching, and gave away for someone else that may have liked it better

I thought that this movie was really good! I read the book prior to seeing the movie, and thought that the movie followed the overall plot that the book had, but changed some of the important and meaningful details. If I based the movie in comparison to the book, I would probably have to rate it less, but by looking at the movie on its own, it was well worth the purchase! I would recommend this to anyone who loves Nicholas Sparks books, and the movies based on the books!!

If I could rate this movie lower than 1 star, I would. I was looking forward to this movie after having read his novels. The book had a lot of action ( for lack of a better word) scenes that I wanted to see on the screen. None of that was in the movie. I can understand that not everything from the book would be displayed on screen, but the parts you would expect on the movie were not there. The actors were horrible. Miley Cyrus couldn't (or wouldn't) drop the Disney style acting with over-pronounciation and emphasizing of words for no reason. Halfway through the movie you wonder what the guy even sees in her. She comes off as annoying; not an angry teen. Liam Hemsworth doesn't seem to help the movie much either. You almost feel sorry for him acting out this role. It looks painful. To be completely honest, the entire movie feels like when directors get unknown actors to film a pilot as a pitch for a show. Definitely feels like Nicholas Sparks sold out.
