The show was excellent. The deal for the whole season is a good one if you watch the original avatar the last Airbender you really need to see this

Got this while it was on sale. Wanted it, since I love the original Avatar series. A completely different series, but overall good.

I never watched The Legend of Korra and I really wanted to after bingeing Avatar The Last Airbender on Netflix. I was super bummed no streaming services had the show. So my search brought me here! I have zero regrets. This show had a slow beginning. Book 1 left me doubting how good it would be but that quickly changed as I kept watching. They pay homage to Avatar and all of the characters in it and even bring some back on special episodes. I'm really pleased with how this series ended too. I wish they kept it going, but alas...all good things must end.

Way back when they announced a continuation of Avatar, I was a little skeptical because it was my favorite show. All the characters and storyline were so well put together and there was no way they could do it again. Boy was I wrong! The Legend of Korra blew me away!! I finished all 8 discs in about 3 days. (It probably would have been sooner if it weren't for work and living). Every emotion you can possibly think of is tugged at you. I loved getting to know all the new characters and I especially liked seeing some of the old characters that came back! All in all, a great adventure that is SO worth purchasing and physically having!

If your a fan of Airbender this is a must watch, the story is a little different then the old, but worth watching

Both as a standalone show and a sequel series to its incredible predecessor Korra is a truly great experience. Featuring a protagonist who's so distinct from Aang yet just as compelling and a supporting cast equally adept at eliciting pathos as bending the elements. I think the biggest knock against the show is that starts somewhat slowly and takes a little time to find its footing but so did Avatar: TLA. In many ways this show has a more mature message and worldview since the main audience had grown since Avatar's end but on the whole both series stand as some of the best serial animation America has ever produced.

I fell in love with this show on Amazon Prime, but it doesn't stream season (book) 4. I don't know if I would have purchased the entire series if it weren't so affordable. I was surprised all four seasons on Blu-Ray were so inexpensive. The show is great I won't go into details about the show- just the physical package. I like how all 8 discs are housed- very secure and easy to remove and replace. I like the little art book that comes with the collection. The show looks and sounds gorgeous on Blu-Ray (however the sound options vary from season to season with some seasons offering more choices than others). I wish there were more in depth documentaries that were season specific, but that is never my primary concern when purchasing Blu-Rays anyway.

Bought this for my daughter. They've done a great job mastering to blue ray. Good menus, very watchable.

Some of the plastic disc holder pieces broke off. Other than that discs in great condition.

I’m glad this show has a blu-Ray edition. Not as great at Avatar, but it is still a good show.

I loved the last air bender so much that I was really excited they came out with a continuance about the next avatar. I like how they went with a female main character, while maintaining a show all genders can enjoy. You get to see a few returning characters from the last air bender and how they have grown up. The new characters are just as memerable as as the ones from the first Avatar. I almost rated 4 stars because of something that happened in the last season that I didn't like. Without giving too much away, it is a big game changer for the Avatar.

The Legend of Korra is a wonderful followup to Avatar: The Last Airbender. It targets a slightly older audience, and deftly handles action, humor, and drama in ways that cartoons rarely do. The only disappointment with this box set is that it's just a repackage of the pre-existing releases of the individual seasons. That's not a bad thing, because those discs have good bonus features, but I was hoping there would be some new content in this new set. If you don't have the individual seasons, it's a great buy, as long it's priced below what the individual seasons combined are.

This is a pretty good anime with some great messages on life along the way

I enjoyed Legend of Korra. The whole series was nice learning about what happened after Aang beat the Ozai. This series is more mature and serious than Avatar the Last Airbender. Legend of Korra does have its funny moments as well. It takes time getting used to the differences between the two series but both are good. If you like Avatar the Last Airbender, I think you would enjoy this one.

Not as good as Avatar, but a good sequel to the original series

This is one of my favorite shows, if not my outright favorite. A real step up from Avatar, and I actually really enjoy that show too. Really glad to be able to have the entire thing on bluray and at such a good price. Only thing is I wish it came with an outer dust cover like these sets did on initial release but I guess those are hard to come by now.

This is a great show and the Blu-ray is so worth it. We never watched this when it was on. The kids were like “it’s not Aang!” What a mistake. This is a great show on its own merits. The main character is a strong lead and learns as she goes. As a fan of the original series, this is a great continuation of that world and seeing the cast grow is great fun.
