I won't spend much time talking about the game as that has been reviewed many times over already. I'll just say it's really good. As for the special edition bundle, it does come with some pretty cool extras. The map isn't a functional map for use in the game. It is a recreation of some of the artwork from within the game. And it is quite well done. It would look great framed and hung on a wall, the only downside being that you would have to decide which side to display. It comes with a coin which I may have already lost. It's nice, but unless you have a coin collection, not many people are going to have a way to display it. I was really looking forward to the CD. I have the soundtracks from both Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess. But the music here is not that great on its own. The prior games had great orchestral pieces that were well worth listening to on their own. The music for BotW is a bit different, more subdued. It works very well in the game. But listening to it on its own, it didn't hold up as well as the music from past games. Finally there is the carrying case which was my main reason for wanting the Special Edition bundle. It's a bit cartoonish in appearance. So as an adult, you may want a more nondescript case. But it neatly holds the switch, a dozen game cards and a few accessories such as the Joy Con rails. It won't fit the dock or an AC adapter. So if you want to carry your entire system, you should look at some of the alternatives. I have just two minor complaints about it. First, I wish there was space reserved for a second pair of Joy Cons. I suspect that when games like Mario Kart Deluxe come out, I will want to have more than a single pair of Joy cons with me. You can stick an extra set in this case, but it presses in on the analog sticks and constantly activates them, draining the batteries quicker than necessary. The second issue is a minor quibble. But the case is designed to look like the Shieka Slate from the game, but they put the handle on the long edge rather than the end as it is held in the game. I really wanted this to have a option so you could hang it from a belt as Link does in the game.

The box is beautiful, even if it's just the box, I'm going to keep it for a while. The case can store so many cartridges, assesories, and the console itself has a strap so it is secure. The coin is so cute and shiny. The map is just like the one in the game . Great collector's item. The soundtrack is amazing, especially the live orchestrated version of the main theme. This box is beautiful as well. The game is great too, as you probably already know.

Breath of the Wild is one of the best video games ever. This special edition includes top notch collector's items including a Switch carrying case made to look like the game's Sheikah Slate. Also included are a beautiful map, a quality coin, and a CD with a selection of songs from the game's soundtrack. Every Zelda fan would enjoy this collection.

This is the best special edition I ever got for a video game. It comes with a cool map, soundtrack, and coin. But best of all it come with a unique case for the switch system. The case is the the seller of this edition. Oh, and the game is amazing too!

I was reluctant when I saw that Nintendo had shaken up the Zelda formula. I figured it would make for a good game, but wouldn't feel much like Zelda. I was pleasantly surprised that it maintained enough of what I expect, while providing so much new content and concepts! As for the other content in the package--the coin is cool but useless beyond collecting. I haven't really had much need for the map, although again, it's cool to have. The music is amazing. The case is nice, it holds more games than most cases and has more room for accessories than smaller cases. My only problem with it is that the console itself doesn't seem to fit super snugly. There is a Velcro enclosure thing that holds it in, but it slides around a little bit. It's not a huge problem, but worth noting. I have no regrets in buying this, but I'm a huge Nintendo/Zelda fan.

Not going to review the game other than to say it's amazing. Just going to comment instead on the extra stuff in this edition. It comes in a huge box with the cover art on above average cardstock. Inside is the game, though it does appear that it's using a different box art than the standalone retail box. You also get a pretty cool vinyl-ish map of Hyrule that would probably look good on the wall - consider a frame for this. You also get a collector's Sheika coin as well as the game soundtrack on CD (wish it could have had mp3 files too but still good). The last piece is a carrying case for your Switch. Some might find it a bit overboard in the design since it's patterned after the Sheikah Slate tool that Link uses ingame but it's still a decent case overall with room for your Switch, games, and accessories.

For and extra $40 it comes with a limited edition case, a sweet map, collectors coin and a soundtrack of Zelda music. I think it is worth it as a case would run you at least $20 anyway, and this is way cooler. Good luck finding one now.

Zelda: Breath of the Wild is, bar none, the best Zelda game ever made. But you knew that before you read this. The reason you need to buy this limited edition version is because this is probably your first purchase after buying your brand new Nintendo Switch. That makes this a literally must-buy. You need a case. The Switch is great but the screen is plastic and WILL get scratched if you don't take care of it. Buy this limited edition, you get a super rad case for protecting your sweet sweet Nintendo goodness. Also you get Zelda. Also you get a super rad Map of Hyrule. Also you get a pretty rad collectible Sheikah coin. Listen, if you've read this far you've already made up your mind. Hit that add to cart button and let's move on to your next purchase: A screen protector for your Switch.

With this package, I got perhaps one of the best Zelda games to date (with an box art on the back of the game's case). I also got a convenient carrying case that has surprisingly gotten more use than originally expected and a soundtrack selection CD that's been a good listen in car rides. A cool bonus with the CD is the addition of a live rendition of the main theme which sounds really good AND DOESN'T HAVE THE STUPID PAUSE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MUSIC LIKE IN THE TRAILER VERSION. The included map was cool to look at and the coin.. it's a coin. Overall this was a great package to get to start off my Switch with. My only complaint is that it didn't come with the Expansion Pass for the game. Oh well. Good luck to everyone trying to find one of these Special Editions.

I love Zelda games, and Breath of the Wild is not lacking. The Game is great, the open world feels so big and gives you so much freedom. I expect to be playing this for quite some time. The special Edition has a coin, soundtrack, and map that came with it. The coin is kind of a trinket, just a metal coin about the size of a half dollar, in a plastic case. It has some weight, not just plastic. The Map is fun, it looks like an old worn map made of some heavy material, so it won't fall apart easily. The names of the different areas are mostly worn off, but you can still see the general layout of the world. The CD, is just a soundtrack of the music, its great to be able to hear the music when you want.

Phenomenal game. Would say it's the best one yet. While the style of gameplay has change, it still feels like a Zelda game. It's story is compelling, and there is SO much to do. By far the most ambitious game yet, and I'd argue, the best. The case is awesome. Extremely high quality, it's not some run of the mill case. It's big enough to carry extras and has loads of holders for 12 games. The case is perfect if you're on the go a lot with the switch. I use mine a lot, and it looks great. The coin is amazing, and the map will be framed. Worth every penny. My only regret is that I wasn't able to get the master edition. If you come across it or this, buy it! You won't be disappointed.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is one of the finest games I've played. The sense of atmosphere is incredible. It's its own breathing, living world. My favorite aspect of the game is the sense of freedom afforded the player. If you see something in the distance that captures your interest, you can go and investigate, and there is often something novel or interesting to do when you get there. The story is classic Zelda and the sound design of the game is fantastic. I couldn't recommend this game enough. The special edition (if you were lucky enough to get one) comes with a pretty nice soundtrack and the included case is a very good case for the Switch.

I've played a number of Zelda games across Nintendo's platforms and they are always some of the greatest games. However, Breath of the Wild is something new and is ultimately the most fun I've ever had in a Zelda game yet! The story is different and interesting and I've been playing for over 25 hours, yet I'm not even done with a quarter of the game. I also think the Special Edition is the best option cost-wise when compared to the Master Edition, since you really only get a plastic statue of the Master Sword with the Master Edition. I don't regret this purchase at all, the case is amazing, and overall it was money well spent.

This is an incredibly highly rated game, and you should believe the hype. I've been doing almost nothing but working, sleeping and playing this game since the day it came out 10 days ago. The extras that come with this are neat. The carrying case is modeled after the Sheikah Slate, which is a very key item in the game. The coin is very pretty. The map is, while basically useless to use to get around the map (which means it has no spoilers), very beautiful. Highly recommend you get this game, and if you can afford the little bit extra for the bennies, this is a great item to buy.

Breath of the Wild is fantastic. It has a huge amount of high-quality content. I have been engrossed with it for two weeks and haven't nearly done everything I want to do yet. The game is full of fun surprises for veterans of the series, and will provide worthwhile experiences for almost anyone who enjoys this style of game. It is challenging but not punishing. It is appropriate for almost all ages, although I imagine very young kids might be scared by the monsters or lack the patience for the puzzles. Despite the Switch's so-so graphics capabilities, Breath of the Wild is very easy on the eyes thanks to its beautiful art style. A lot of the fun of the game is just wondering what I'll get to see next. This game exceeds its predecessors in worldbuilding, combat, writing, narrative structure, and most of all in its ability to give different experiences to each player. I have only a few minor complaints about it: The amount of time spent in the menu screens is a bit excessive, especially since it's pulling you away from such a beautiful world. Also, the music isn't as good as some other games in the series. The dungeons aren't bad, but they didn't blow me away like the rest of the game. Despite the above, Breath of the Wild is undoubtedly a masterpiece. I feel that it deserves the high praise it has received from critics and fans alike. Zelda has again set a new standard for console adventure games. As for the Special Edition, it's only worth the cost if you are a very enthusiastic fan, or maybe a collector. I'm glad I got it for MSRP; I would probably not recommend the high prices this would fetch on the secondary market. I don't care much about the coin, the map, or the CD, although I'm sure they will help the package retain some of its value. The carrying case is actually very nice, and has slots for 12 game cards plus accessories. I like it quite a bit, but I'm not sure I could justify the cost of it when you could get an ordinary case for $20 or less.
