Great Game with well worth Extras

This game is GREAT! I haven't enjoyed just running around without doing any story quests or plan of what to do and where to go in a while. TONS to do in this game and that makes it great for the Switch since you can take it with you when you leave the house. The extras you get with the SE are good too. The CD is nice (wish there was more songs), the coin is a coin and the map is fine if you like that kind of thing. The star of the extras is the carrying case. This thing is really nice. So you can get a case for $30 and this to me is worth $40 with the bonus of the other things.

Breath of the wild is possibly the best Zelda game ever made! It handles open world perfectly, sometimes other open world games do not have enough content to justify being open world but BotW does and it fits very well with the Zelda style. Furthermore, the Special Edition was amazing, especially for the price. I was thankful that it didn't have a statue with it because they do that for every collector's edition now and it gets pretty boring. I absolutely love the switch carrying case. The map could be a bit better but it's still neat.

Breath of the Wild has already been well regarded as the new best in the series and I can definitely see why with the excellent open world mechanics while still maintaining the same dungeon puzzles we have come to know and love. You will need to go searching for items you need now which means you will be spending lots of time on this game. This edition of the game lets you really show how much you love the series with the very essential Switch case that I have found very useful for storing future Switch games and a few small accessories like cables.

Simply put, this is a must have. Whether it's on Switch or Wii U (I hear they play almost identically), give the game a chance. I'm not one for using hyperboles, so I won't claim it's "THE BEST GAME EVER". What it is, however, is an excellent game that you should try even if you've never given a Zelda game a try before. The special edition isn't really all that necessary. The case it comes with is pretty ugly but the map and coin are pretty cool. The most important thing is the game, regardless of what version you play.

I can't say enough about this game. I got it on the Nintendo Switch and if you have one, this is probably the game that you are and should be playing. The praise it receives is very worthwhile. Now that being said, if you are only into certain genre of games then this one may not appeal to you. If you strictly only play FPS, racing, simulation, or something else then Breath of the Wild may not be for you. However, if you like open world games, adventure, puzzle solving, action, resource management, and a fully developed world then this is the game for you. not played every single Legend of Zelda game, but I’ve played Ocarina of Time on N64, 2 GBA, and Twilight Princess. This is by far my favorite. It builds so much on what Ocarina of Time did that this game comes close to perfection. The strongest points are the action, the exploration and feeling like you truly discover things on your own, and the incredible world that has been built. When you’re traversing the plains you’ll see objects and structures in the distance, they’ll pique your interest and beg you to seek them out. When you get on your way there you’ll see more and more that continue to lure you in. I would say it’s too much to handle but it just means you’ll have more to explore once your done with your current objective, that you decide upon yourself. This is a feeling that I unfortunately didn’t retain with Fallout 4 after having spent 200 plus hours on skyrim that gave me this same feeling. The weakest points would be the lack of information given on fighting and guidance. I found myself being killed in 1 hit from some basic looking enemies. It’ll force you to learn very quickly the importance of armor. Once you do get armor, try saving up 11,600 ruppees to be able to open the option of fully upgrading armors. It’ll be worthwhile. Overall, awesome game that should be played by any Switch owner. It’ll keep you entertained for a long time. It doesn’t make the most of the Switch’s motion controls but that’s fine by me since the controls are great as they are now. Plus it’s a portable full-fledged game nearly the size of a Grand Theft Auto game.

First of all - this game is absolutely incredible! Love every bit of the ability to explore an unknown world and go at my pace. Second - the limited edition pack. The Switch carrying case is a Sheikah Slate (one of the most valuable items in the game) so it's cool to have. The map is a decoration piece not an usable game map. I thinks it's pretty cool as well. Coin is fascinating, and have yet to pop the soundtrack in because I done have CD drives anymore. No digital code here for the soundtrack. Hope that helps -

Maybe the best Zelda game to date

Previously OoT and LttP were my two favorite Zelda games but I think Breath of the Wild is going to knock them out of their top spot. Everything about it is just such a perfect take on an open world Zelda game. It keeps the charm that makes Zelda games but then gives you a huge lived in world to explore, with something to see or do over every hill. The SE version is nice for the Sheikah Slate carrying case for the Switch as you're going to want one of those anyway if you plan to take it with you.

This game is a 9 / 10 for me. The game is the most expansive and strategic Zelda game to date. This game has the best lanscape and gameplay off the series. I give this a 9 since the overall story is lacking compared to others in the series. If you are exploration driven you will get the most out of this game. When nintendo said you couldn't finish everything in the game in a week they weren't kidding. There are side quests galore in this game. This game is a must play if u own a wii u or switch.

The game itself: Amazing amount of exploration and story. Huge world to explore and a ton of collectables to get. Have loved every second of playing it. Tutorial takes just a tad too long though. The set: I love the map and the coin. They're so detailed and just something great if you're a really big fan of the series. The case is very functional and more sturdy than I expected for something just included in the set. The soundtrack is awesome and I'm glad it came with the cd.

As the first 3D console Zelda in 5 and ½ years, it has a lot to live up to. Console Zelda games based on the Link To The Past formula, especially starting with Ocarina of Time, were wonderful games, albeit over time, segmented from what open-world, exploration-based RPG games started to become around it. Skyward Sword especially was the prime example of this. A game that tried to switch up how people played Zelda, not just through literal controls, but with context to puzzles and enemy design. It contained its fair share of stellar moments and soundtrack diamonds but it remains, in hindsight, the only Zelda game that maybe critics weren’t hard enough on. I always felt that Zelda having as much direction as Skyward Sword had was mandatory for keeping the importance of that lore. That the series was a legend just BECAUSE it was legendary, and the story moments were big because they were Zelda moments. Six hours in, I may have been wrong. Zelda’s roots are still fresh and fun. And had plenty of room to expand all along. And it ultimately proves that Zelda: Breath of the Wild could have pioneered what it has now potentially perfected. I’m not nearly into it enough to give that final verdict, but the overwhelming, industry-wide praise this game has received seems to say it for me. I was even concerned after 2-3 hours spent on the Great Plateau, the intro section of the game; After that time spent within the gameplay loop, I felt like I wasn’t ultimately “getting it”. The controls aren’t exactly intuitive; there is a learning curve. This Zelda game is a fish out of water for the series, after all. But it wasn’t until I realized just how versatile each encounter could be with enemies and even the world itself did I see the magic reviewers spoke of. I finally got my reminder that not only am I playing a brand new Zelda game, but Zelda as we know it has been reborn.

This game is incredible. Think Witcher 3 set in Hyrule. I've had a blast exploring and killing baddies. The special edition was totally worth it, too as it comes with a carrying case that holds the switch plus joy cons, has a pocket for additional accessories, and slots for about 15 games. It's sturdy and I feel very secure when I pack up my switch, and it looks cool too. It also comes with the OST and a coin. The coin is more of a collector thing, but the OST is great.

You have read about the game, or if not you can find thousands of reviews on the game. As far as the special edition goes this is a top notch collectors edition. The contents are well worth it given the game values at $60.00 and the extra $40.00 gets you a carrying case for the Switch (which should run you as cheap as $15 or as high as $50 depending on which case you purchase) among other extras like the CD, coin, and Map. IF you manage to catch one of these, buy it.

If you're thinking on getting one of the collectors edition of this video game, this is the best choice for a nice budget. The box art by itself it's worth of display, the switch case is perfectly crafted, and it comes with the soundtrack which also has some great cover art. All in all, if you don't really mind missing the Master Sword, and for a couple of bucks more than the standard edition you are getting the best of both editions.

I don't think you need to read any reviews on this product to know how good Breath of The Wild is. It is an amazing game that you should absolutely buy. Now, will you not be taking your Switch a lot of places? Or do you already have a case for it? Then this might not be that important of a purchase for you. The case is fantastic though and does what I want. The other items are nice little pieces to have too, especially the soundtrack.

This has got to be the best game Nintendo has made to date. Zelda with an open world. The changes to the game. I thought would change the identity to Zelda. I was wrong. This game feels a lot like Zelda 1 on the NES. The feeling of being lost. The feeling of not knowing what to do. It is up to you to learn the world and find your way. The feeling of being lost and the wonder of finding your way. I love it and I recommend it to anyone.

The box is beautiful! The contents are even better. Case is robust, functional and artistically thoughtful. The Map, while not really directional in the game, looks great and makes a nice wall decoration. The soundtrack is nice, though once you have hundreds of hours in the game, you might not need it outside the game. The coin is a nice trinket, different from the one handed out last summer, for collectors to add to their shelf.

This game is certainly not without it's flaws (I'd give it a 4.5 really). New to open world Zelda gamers might find it a bit daunting at first, but can easy to catch on. Pluses include climbing almost anywhere, great visuals, and one of the best Zelda soundtracks in awhile. Minuses might be no indication of when weapons/shields/bows might break (could have easily have had an option to turn on/off life of an item).
