Listen. Is this a fun, solid Zelda game? Sure. However, when I think of reinventing the TOP DOWN style of Zelda, while offering us new great challenging Dungeons, puzzles and action, I think of how epic the 3DS did this with LINK BETWEEN WORLDS. Then, when I compare that years old game to this remake, LINKS AWAKENING falls flat. Especially as LA is an almost exact remake of the original. It really doesn't do anything new. So, I found the game play to be ok, the bosses to be tepid. If you own a 3DS and have not played LINK TO THE PAST, I implore you to play that. And wait for a deep sale on this because, It's not worth the price.

I’ll take a special edition Switch physical copy over standard pretty much anytime I see it. I’m a collector. That goes tenfold for Zelda. When I missed out on the pre-release, I was bummed out. Luckily, while going in for a completely different game weeks later, 2 copies of the Dreamers Addition magically appeared on the shelf. I was tempted to buy both...but decided to let someone else share the good fortune. Since I already have the standard release, this one will stay sealed for display. Now for the bad...I’ve seen unboxing vids of each regions Dreamer set, and the USA version is noticeably lacking in comparison. For whatever reason, Nintendo decided not to include what is in my opinion the coolest steel case ever made. Still, a great surprise purchase.

This is an all around great remake that not only looks good but plays as smooth as possible!

This is an awesome recreation of the game boy classic Link's awakening. I just wish they added a bit more game to it. To someone who knows what they are doing it is done entirely too soon.
