This game was classic 15 years ago and it's still great now. I know a lot of people myself included didn't give the game a fair chance back then but the game play and story is amazing. I hope everyone takes this opportunity to either relive it or give it the first chance it deserved back then.

The original game was awesome, and this version only builds off of it. The graphics are greatly improved and so are the controls. They upgraded the Bomber's Notebook, so it is easier to track all of the events. If you liked the original N64 version, there is no reason not to pick this one up.

I played Majora's Mask on N64 many years ago. The 3DS version is a remake that features new textures to all characters and backgrounds, runs in 60 FPS, loads much faster, and adds touch screen controls for easy inventory management. All bosses have new attack patterns, making them much more challenging than their N64 incarnations, some of the masks are relegated to different locations - making them more convenient to pick up - such as the Stone Mask, and touches were made for player convenience, as noted in one part of rolling up to the Snowhead Temple.
Majora's Mask 3D is more than a 3D upgrade, but actually feels like a polished game. It is truly worth of the name Legend of Zelda and stands as one of its finest games, upgrading the original adventure and organizing your movements through save points and an improved Bomber's Notebook. This is worth playing for any 3DS owner and anyone who enjoyed the original Majora's Mask.

It's Legend of Zelda, need I say more? This is the same game millions of people fell in love with over a decade ago. Now remastered and parts improved.... And in 3D! If you have this game and the limited edition Majora's Mask 3ds xl system, you have gold in your hands! Literally!

Originally made for console, it has now been brought to the 3DS. Bought for my son. He really like the Zelda games. Still really good after all the years and the best part is you don't have to drag the console along while traveling (that would need a very long extension cord!)

An Amazing Game Revisited and Made Even Better

Majora's Mask has long been one of the least appreciated entries in the Zelda series. It originally debuted on the Nintendo 64 at the same time as the PlayStation 2, and it was a vast departure from Ocarina of Time, so its release was largely overshadowed. And even many of the people who played it didn't give it the chance it deserved.
Now that it has been remastered, and in many ways, upgraded, it is finally being recognized as it should have been. Time travel is the major gameplay tool here, but it is done intelligently and not in a manner that is overtly stressful to the player. This is a game that a young child will probably struggle with, but any player who enjoys Zelda games, puzzles, side quests, and great music, should pick up Majora's Mask.
The 3D is implemented very well, and I recommend playing it on the New 3DS XL for full camera control. Overall, this is a fantastic game well worth a full price purchase.

Although I never played the Nintendo 64 version of the game, I was very interested in buying this remake when it came out. The graphics are great and the story is very cool. I feel this game is played better on a New 3DS XL compared to another edition of the 3DS.

I played this game growing up and is definitely my favorite in the Zelda series. It has everything it did, plus it is an improvement on the graphics, the gameplay, and the simpleness of the GUI.
Some of the more welcome improvements that make the game a lot easier is the use of the 3DS's gyroscope ot aim. This makes the shooting gallery challenges a breeze (and a quick way to make 200 rupees). Also, now you don't need to take a mask off before swapping that item for another one. This makes it a lot easier to switch from one item to the next (plus now you have more than just three items you can use at a time without switching back and forth.
The game does not have a master quest, but it is still very long and entertaining. Definitely would recommend if you have or have not played it before, but also for anyone who hasn't tried a Zelda game is a must!

When this game came out back in 2000, it was an instant classic. The new remake 15 years later makes it even better. Same gameplay and story but with a new format. Everything you like about the old version is made even better in this revision.

This game was always one of the best (who am I kidding THE best) Zelda titles. The 3DS version is not only AMAZING but they really polished it wonderfully. The 3D is crisp. The fresh coat of paint is a welcome addition! 10/10 Amazing title!!

A Classic Remastered in all its Glory

Majora's Mask 3D is a great remaster of an old classic from 2000, with some noticeable changes. Graphically, the game has received a major upgrade from the N64 original with new textures, extra details, a higher resolution and a much better framerate. Also, in contrast to the original, the game is portable and can be played anywhere, which is a massive convenience to many players who are on the go all the time. Aside from the obvious changes, there have also been many changes to the core gameplay that attempts to make the game more accessible. Most of these gameplay changes, such as a better save system, succeed in that goal and ultimately streamline and enhance the experience. However, as a person that played the original, some of the changes felt unnecessary to me, and left me a little disappointed as it made this remaster feel like it wasn't as true to the original as it could have been. The most noticeable example of this is the boss battles, which have all been dramatically changed, and in my opinion, "dumbed down," as each of them now has an obvious weak spot in the form of a giant eyeball. I feel that some of these changes, especially the aforementioned one, are unnecessary hand-holding that resulted from a lack of faith in the player. This feeling, however, may just be stemming from nostalgia from the N64 version. Therefore, if you have played the original, I advise doing a little research before getting this to see if the changes bother you, as you can always go back to the original. However, if you have never played this game before, you should get it as change from the original won't bother you, and it is more accessible than ever before. Ultimately, Majora's Mask 3D is still a great remaster of an awesome yet not so typical Legend of Zelda game, and I would give it a serious recommendation, especially to those that have not yet played it.

Everything about this game is amazing. Beautiful graphics, great controls, and wonderful music. Makes a classic game feel like new but retains the nostalgia. If you have a New 3DS system, the C-stick adds camera control. Works great!

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D is an amazing remake of Majora's Mask, which released on the Nintendo 64 back in 2000. Now, if you have already played through Majora's Mask then you know what to expect. Basically you have to save the land of Termina in 3 in game days from a falling moon, all the while also helping towns people and various other denizens of the world while doing so. Really MM 3D is /almost/ the same as the original release, but there's been changes made. Most noticeably is the graphics. They've been really improved upon and they're very pleasant to look at. Some other changes are the behavior of bosses and the use of some items, so you're not getting the exact same game that's on the Nintendo 64. Anyway, I don't want to spoil too much so I'll leave it at that.

Awesome remake. Better graphics but more save points makes it easier than the original. Awesome control on the new 3ds but no problems playing on old 3ds. Bought for my son but couldn't help but play it while he is in school.

This game was a fantastically made reboot of the n64 majora's mask. For those who were too young to play it in the past should definitely pick this up. It has a great story, and the side quests make it hours of play time.

A deep, dark, and twisted take on a classic series

Majora's Mask is not only my favorite Zelda game, but one of my favorite games of all time. It was also hard for people to get into when it was released. After the monumental success of the very straightforward in comparison Ocarina of Time, it's very surprising to me that they went in such an abstract direction with the followup, and I wouldn't want it any other way.
It's not hard to see why so many people had a hard time wrapping their heads around it. The clock is always ticking, with the threat of an ever-approaching moon looming overhead, threatening to come crashing down in just 72 in-game hours (which move much faster in real-time, and can also be slowed down.) The game is in a different land than Zelda's usual Hyrule. There's no Ganon. You don't even play as human Link for the beginning of the game, instead starting off as him transformed as a Deku scrub, an entirely different species. Anyone who went into it expecting Ocarina of Time 2 was in for a big surprise.
However, the game eventually developed a sort of cult-like status once people were able to accept and embrace it for its differences. After you unwrap the shock of how different the game is, you're rewarded with a deep, dark, and surreal adventure. It's almost like Zelda meets Alice in Wonderland. The game oozes atmosphere and there's an undertone of sadness and hopelessness, as one would expect given the state of this world with a creepy-faced moon drawing ever-closer. Because of that it ended up becoming one of my favorite worlds in any game once I was finally willing to give it a fair chance and accepting that it isn't OOT 2.
This game and Earthbound, another one of Nintendo's cult classics that also ends up being surprisingly dark as you play it makes me wish that Nintendo would explore these sorts of themes more often, as they feel so unique next to most of what they've released. I suggest that anyone even remotely interested should give it a try. It could be one of your favorite games and you don't even know it yet!

The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask makes it's return, now in 3D on the Nintendo 3DS.
The update to the graphics are superb and the 3D is wonderful!
My advice for new and younger players, don't be afraid to use a guide! There is a lot to remember and with the resetting three days, it can be a little be overwhelming.
(Note to parents, this game is a little bit darker then most of the rest of the series. So keep that in mind for younger children.)
