Skyward Sword is the closest to the NES, SNES and Game Boy games that the the 3D Zelda games have had to offer. Less gimicks, more gameplay and the backtracking is considerably less than Twilight Princess, Game Cube Wind Waker, Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time. A much more solid experience with fun (if not necessarily useful) wii remote motion plus action. The best part of any Zelda Game are the Secrets and the Dungeons and their Bosses. This games has no shortage of any of that and is the best looking game so far on the Wii. Add all that to a decent story that is easy for anyone to follow and you got yourself a Wii (or now Wii-u) game marathon for a week or so.

As far as zelda storylines go this game is definitely a contender for the best. The wiimotion plus controls are very responsive and it takes a short while to become accustom to the necessary range of motion. The upgrade system was tedious at times, but only a handful of items require farming and required time is short.

The controls take some time to get used to and a new world in Skyloft, but Zelda Skyward Sword is a must play game for the Wii. The latest home console installment in the Legend Of Zelda Series.

This being only my second Zelda game (Twilight Princess for GameCube being my first), I didn't quite know what to expect from the controls, gameplay, and graphics. I didn't want something cartoon-y like Wind Wake and loved the graphics of Twilight Princess, so I chose Skyward Sword for its slightly more colorful familiarity. I'm impressed by the beauty of the world and the way that the enemies and areas are all a little quirky while maintaining their seriousness. The gameplay itself comes off a little bit choppy. I'm a fan of fleshed-out story lines, and this one jumps around enough to disconcert me a little, but it's not horrible. The controls are one of the game's strong suits. They really help to pull the player into the game: instead of simply pressing a button to hack at an enemy, you actually swing the remote like a sword. These movements are mimicked nearly perfectly by the game, and the player's fighting style must change in accordance to the enemy in question. My biggest qualm is about the length of the game, but then Twilight Princess was the longest Zelda game to date, and I was therefore spoiled by my first Zelda experience. Overall, this is a phenomenal game that, while it has its faults, definitely lives up to the Zelda name.

I've been looking for this awesome game for a long time. Online sellers were asking for too much money to obtain it. So I feel very lucky to get it at Best Buy for such an amazing price!

I have always been a big fan of Ocarina of Time. This game has now replaced OoT as my all time favorite. I would definitely recommend this game to any Zelda fan.

My son saved his money to buy this game. I had prepared him that it might be a bit beat-up since it was used... But this game looked like it had never been played at all! The used versions of this game at GameStop were the same price, but the discs were completely scratched. We will be buying our used games from BestBuy in the future.

Fun game but the controls...despite being good...are still gimmicky. I just with it controlled more like a normal game it would have been much more fun.

This is a Zelda game. What else needs to be said. It is as good as all other Zelda games.

This is yet another great game in a long line of games dating all the way back to the 80's, this is one of my favorites in the series.

This is the best use of the Wii motion controls in a game. It's very intuitive and pleasing to control Link on his quest.

Its incredible from saving your Loftwing to beating Gannon.

This is the best zelda gam on the franchise. Highly recommended it exels all previous games of this series that has been released before it. Just love it you qont regret it whe you get it.
