Those who have played Four Swords will feel right at home with this. It plays about the same except you all share the same health so therefore, more team work and less sabotaging. As a reminder, this game is ONE or THREE players. You can NOT play with two so just remember that. Fun game overall, best played with two of your friends either online or local. You can play through the whole game with download play so if you have two friends with 3DS, they can play through it with you with only one copy of the game

After all my years playing Nintendo games I never got into Zelda. Until now that is. This game is a lot of fun. Trying to solve puzzles with others only using a few communication queues makes it more challenging but more rewarding at the same time. There is something about solving a puzzle with strangers online and seeing everyone tapping the thumbs up icon repeatedly. I did experience some lag when playing online but it was minimal. You can play locally with friends (easiest mode because you can actually talk to your friends), online, or solo, which is the most challenging because you have to control all three heroes by yourself. Overall, great game!

I wasn't sure what to expect when I got this game other than it was odd that it required 3 people to play. There is a single player mode but it isn't very well implemented and multiplayer is where the fun is at. Since the release of this game I have been streaming it on Twitch (LVNeptune1) every night and have met a ton of new people into the game. The premise behind it is simple. You solve Zelda-style puzzles with the help of 2 other people, get materials, craft costumes. There's a total of 36 costumes in the game. There is DLC slated for release but no information on when it will be coming out. I highly recommend this game.

Only buy this game if you're going to play it with friends in the same room. You need 3 people, 3 3DS' or 2DS', and 3 game cartridges for the best play experience. Solo mode is fun, but it can be annoying for certain parts when you need to manually switch characters. I've played online, which is not bad either, but I don't prefer it. Online there is no voice chat, and you have to rely on only 8 emojis Nintendo made. It's just hard to beat levels when people want to troll, or can't communicate properly through the emojis, or are not at the same level as you. Teamwork is defiantly needed to beat all of the levels!

Everything my son expected from LoZ

My 17 year old son is not one to mince words. If he doesn't like something he'll let everyone know. Normally by putting it somewhere outside of his room or the house to show his displeasure with the item. Being a huge LoZ fan, he has a standard as to what the game expectations should be. After playing it the first night he stated the gameplay and story line were excellent. After 32 hours he was done with the game (normal in my house; which irritates my wife because I do the same thing.), he continues to play the game to make sure he didn't miss anything. Great game for the 3DS.

The Single player on this is kinda challenging because it was made for multiplayer so when playing alone you have to be able to switch characters to fulfill areas. when playing in multiplayer its really fun local play but when you play online it can be challenging due to advance players or people leaving the game while in playing mode and you have to be reassigned but its super cool. Its definitely not like the orignal zeldas more like 4 swords with a twist!

Great Game for NO MORE AND NO LESS THAN 3 players... 5 star fun lots of different dungeons and fun suits to unlock. 3 stars for single player, still fun but tedious. a few annoyances still exist under the version of the game I played. such as if one person leaves the group (battery dies on 3ds or accidentally turns it off) It makes the rest of the players lose the level with no chance of just reconnecting. Still like the game a lot though!

While it would have been nice to be able to play the game with friends using just two players, the game is still single player friendly and also a lot of fun. Since it was initially released, Nintendo has done a great job at updating it and releasing free DLC. If you've got two other friends that can play with you, the experience is even more enjoyable. However, if you are by yourself, the game is still a lot of fun.

Only buy this game if you have 2 other friends to play it with. Playing solo is incredibly difficult and tedious as you have to switch control between 3 characters. The online is very hit-or-miss since you'll often run into issues with laggy players, players who quit mid-level, or players who just end up trolling you. Don't expect a huge adventure like standard Zelda games. This is strictly a dungeon crawler game.

When I first heard about this game, I was a little worried that I wouldn't like it (and I'm a huge Zelda fan). However, after playing the demo, I really enjoyed the gameplay. The multiplayer aspect in Zelda is really fun. It can be played with 2 people via Download Play (they don't even need the cartridge) or with friends/strangers online. Even while playing with strangers online, the dungeons are a joy to complete, and the other players usually have great teamwork.

Hugely underrated game. Very fun to play online with others. The only caveat is it really stinks when people disconnect when playing online. Also, the single player is terrible as you're required to manage/toss dummy statues around in lieu of playing with two other players - so only get this if you can play online multiplayer.

My nephew got this game over the holidays and asked my wife and I to team up with him and play the game using Nintendo 3ds download link feature where we played off his cartridge. It was fun. My wife is a big fan of Link and the Legend of Zelda series and did not have this game yet. I decided to get it for her as a surprise and when she got it she was very happy. Now she can play and I bet she beats the game without my help. HAHA

This is not a flagship Zelda game - meaning this is not a Link Adventure to save Zelda from the normal troubles of Hyrule. Instead, it's sort of a party mini game/puzzle series. You can work together or play solo with AI, as you try and escape dungeon rooms. It's a puzzle game with a Zelda paint job.

A fun game, that offers a lot of various puzzles. Game play includes online 3-player, or single-player (with 2 dummies that you control). Communication is key, and Tri Force Heroes doesn't always have the best communication. You have access to a variety of signals ("Item!" or "Over Here!"). But at times, they don't convey what you're trying to tell your partners. Which can be frustrating. But overall, a fun game.

This is not your typical Zelda game, but that's not a bad thing! Don't fall for the reviews from other gaming sites. I have played exclusively by myself and I have had a blast. The puzzles are well thought out, and the levels are not repetitive. Though you are forced to play the same level a few different times, the conditions change keeping them fresh and if you like a challenge, then you'll be pleased.
