How a purchase is received, functional and is maintained-explicitly how a purchase is received will usually sum-up a Personal Experience Rating. So despite honest support for a purchase...the Personal Experience is usually what is really being Rated...then the individual's Own Opinion on Their Purchase. So i would give a five star rating for the Opinion of the Purchase; a three star rating for the damaged purchase before receival, with an overal averaged-out rating of a four star rating out of a possible five star rating. Case's front cover arrived ripped near clean-through on both sides. Not certain as to when or how the damage was done prior to delivery. Other than that of the nearly torn apart case cover...the dvd itself seems to be functional and undamaged. I liked the movie. A slightly humourous adult immaturity; with over simplified complications of familiar story plots, charater developments and situational settings among other things...that don't distract from the flow of the story or complicate it further. That is done using other identifiable Media references and/or characters for easier relations in understandings through associations. As the story begins to unravel...the story forms into a sort of...almost literal understanding of..."Think Outside of The Box" scenario for elaborated story telling. Without spoiling much of the story; the characters, settings, puns and analogies among other things were appropriately brought together...well enough to be appreciated by the youthful and more mature into years of age. Many different aspects about the movie's visual, imaginative and verbal conveyances make for a variety of things that any in particular viewer could appreciate. I surprisingy liked the movie more than i had thought that i would; with a rather mature setting done in a rather playfully visually blissful display of choreography and synchronicity, even after years after its release i still like the film's presentation. The story had seemed to flow almost seemlessly with ease and a steady flow...that did not seem to linger too much to cause the story to lack the stream of interest. For adult themes in a more child-like and simplicated reasoning with understanding the story's intricate course of cause and effect. So simplified child-like adult humour with relative puns and media to boost the direction of the story follow an average nobody become an already realized somebody that became more by desiring that from themself after being giving the understanding of options not readily identifiable prior to meshing into life through a trendy~bendy-carefree lifestyle filled with assumptions and expectations of the world around themself. After realizing the potential of change from within oneself...that very potential is eventually reflected outwardly as a means to have a cause and affect on their surroundings...becoming a sort of game changer in their own reality and eventually inspiring others in movie characters to do the same. Eventually becoming a follow the flow of things to take lead of the flow things sort of story. A very Creative, Cleverly Imaginative and sort of simplistic expressionism of conveyed upon logics from within the story.

The movie was great but the Digital Download expired March 1 the same day I received it. If I had not opened it right away I would of been very upset

This is one of the greatest movies of all time and wow it has never looked better. The HDR is there and the 4K quality looks bussin. It came with the right discs including the digital copy and I enjoyed it. I highly recommend Best Buy for buying movies especially this one

I bought this movie for my neighbor's little girl, she simply loved it, her father told me she wants to watch it everyday, which made my heart smile, another great purchase, I enjoy knowing that this movie is a movie that makes this little girl happy watching it!

“The LEGO Movie” is better than it has any right being. By most given logic, this should have been a crassly commercial, cynical bit of big studio filmmaking that featured lazy writing and functioned as little more than a 90-minute toy commercial. And yet, thanks to the amazing talents of co-writers/directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord, it becomes something truly amazing and memorable and subversive and hilarious. Oh man, was it hilarious. Let’s put it this way, I was so uproarious with my laughter that the gentleman one row in front of me turned to me halfway through the film to ask me to quiet down. Your mileage will vary wildly, I’m sure, but for my money no other movie in years has made me laugh so hard I was crying and out of breath. But beyond the madcap humor and pop culture references that fly at 100 mph from start to finish, this is a film that manages to have genuine emotional heart and heft, all while slyly and brilliantly deconstructing (heh) all manner of standard story and character tropes. Oh, and somehow Lord and Miller also manage to stay true the idea of what has kept LEGO bricks so popular for generations: Building whatever weird thing comes to mind. Emmet Brickowski (voiced with boundless energy and enthusiasm by Chris Pratt) can’t quite swing that, though. He’s just your average construction worker who loves following the instructions, listening to the same (infectiously catchy) pop song and doing whatever it takes to get people to like him. Which is why it’s baffling, even to Emmet, when he discovers he’s The Special, a hero whom a prophecy states will retrieve the Piece of Resistance and stop Lord Business (Will Ferrell) from destroying the world. But where most kids films are content to regurgitate those tired “Hero’s Journey” story trappings, Miller and Lord smartly skewer those (and several other) conventions at every turn, not only fiercely lampooning them but successfully turning said skewering into one of the film’s central messages. It doesn’t matter who you are, we’ve all got the capacity to be special and creative and significant. You don’t need a prophecy or even someone in a position of power to tell you that, you just have to find it within yourself. This meshes nicely, too, with the added message that rampant, unbridled creativity isn’t always a good thing and that sometimes following the rules and heeding the instructions is actually the best way to augment creativity. Now, I’ve heard and spoken to some who think the movie is a bit hypocritical or at least consider its message a bit specious given the fact that it’s still a licensed product being put out by a massive film studio based on toys made by a massive company. I suppose some of that is valid to a degree, but Miller and Lord seem to have made precisely the movie they set out to, especially when the movie isn’t really anti-corporate or anti-structure at all. And having Batman and Ninja Turtles and the 2002 NBA All-Stars get mixed in with Green Ninja, Mermaid, Cowboy and 1980’s-something Space Guy is what LEGO is all about these days. It’s nothing for a kid to have Superman riding a horse or for Gandalf to be flying around in a spaceship built out of parts cannibalized from three different sets. Besides, if it weren’t officially licensed, we would never have gotten the greatest deconstruction/takedown of Batman ever. The last few decades of the character’s depiction has been largely consumed with making him as dark and brooding as possible (though with notable exceptions like the fabulous and underrated “Brave and the Bold” animated series). Miller and Lord, along with the absolutely perfect vocal performance of Will Arnett, take no small amount of pleasure send up that interpretation in grand fashion by showing the character to be little more than a pompous jerk who basically just sulks and broods like an angsty teenager. It’s a hysterical, brilliant, precise take and I kind of want a whole movie of it. If nothing else, “The LEGO Movie” cements Miller and Lord as some of the smartest, most assured filmmakers of their generation. They’ve built their career out of films and TV shows that shouldn’t work but do, and it’s all because they have such an iron grip on tone, storytelling and character building. These guys can do anything, I’m convinced and “The LEGO Movie” is by far their best movie yet. I can’t wait to see what they do next.

One of the funniest films of the year and arguably the decade. Holds up well to rewatching!

We have watched the Lego movie before, but not in 4K. I was able to get the 4K set on sale and am not disappointed. The colors look great and the movie is still very entertaining. Like the title says, it is fun for the whole family.

Saw dvd in store had a coupon for Lego 2. Couldnt resist picking up because the deal is basically getting a free bluray for a movie i wanted to see anyway and it is a funny good movie

When I bought this movie to watch with my kids, I didn't expect it to be that funny for adults. But it was fun for adults as well and that made our family movie night a fun one.

From overly complicated instructions in cardboard boxes to video games back around to tons of pieces no one knew what to do with. Great premise, solid plot, tons of fun!

The kids like legos but were hesitant about seeing a movie about LEGOs, however it all worked out. It was funny for both adults and kids.

If you have a 4K HDR tv and player, you must at least one movie in 4K. Lego Movie is awesome and even better in 4K hdr with its vivid colors

This is the Lego movie that started it all. This is the first entry to the Lego movie genre and it is by far the best of all of them.

My 6 year old and 4 year old both love this and so do the big kids, us! Lego never fails to entertain, in toys and media!
