Unique storyline. If you've read the book the movie is of course quite a bit different; however on it's own it is an excellent movie. Romance, stubborn cowboy, stubborn female and a tenderhearted (yet stubborn) elderly man to bring them together. Don't forget the tissue box, there are definitely some heart wrenching spots.

Story about love and passion with a young couple and some great memories. Great story.

This is a great girls night movie! Has everything you need for a great chick flick!

Scott Eastwood, son of Clint, is a great leading male actor, and Britt Robertson is a great leading female. Both of the actors are in their 20s and share a chemistry with each other which is far more appealing than most romantic movies involving young couples. In this movie, she wants to go into art, particularly contemporary art, and he has a career as a rodeo performer. They fall in love slowly enough that it’s believable and meaningful, rather than all of a sudden like so many movies do.I really enjoy the way their relationship develops. They become influenced by the life story of a man played by Alan Alda, who learned the meaning of sacrificial love and imparts this experiential wisdom to them. The parallels between Alda’s character’s story and their story give the movie a meaningful connection between past and present. It is also a rewarding experience when they are both willing to give up selfishness for each other in the . Well-written, well-edited, well-acted, and stimulating, this movie is enjoyable.

Love Story that takes unexpected twists and turns. Wonderful storyline.

This is an excellent movie and a good deal. I highly recommend!!

Family fun movie ever Excellent show for an afternoon movie to watch

Lovers of Nicholas Sparks will probably get exactly what they're expecting in this film, but that's part and parcel of what will probably be problematic for everyone else. The Longest Ride revisits so many (too many) Sparksian tropes that it fails to develop an identity of its own. Alda and Chaplin take the acting honors here (though Lolita Davidovich does quite well in an underwritten role as Luke's mom). The film is certainly scenic, but the story would have been more focused and effective had it centered solely on the more touching story of Ira and Ruth. Technical merits are first rate for those considering a purchase.

I have read all his books and I am always excited when a new one is going to be released. Even though, you sort of know what going to happen in a Nicholas Sparks book, I still love them. The Longest Ride was no exception. It intertwines a story about two couples, one old, and one young and does a really good job of connecting them together at the end. I don't want to give too many details but anyone who loves Nicholas Sparks or just wants to read a cute love story should read this, you won't be disappointed. Not to be corny, but, I think what I love most about Nicholas Sparks books is that the guy in the story always really, truly, and without reservation loves the girl and would do anything for her.

This is one of those films that starts off as one of your typical romance pieces but, when it's over, you have such a nice warm feeling that you just know you're going to watch it again in the future when you want something that will give you that feeling. Something we all need from time to time. It's what's become know as a feel good movie. While not everyone is into that, many of us are and for those who like something to warm up an evening, I highly recommend this movie.

Loved it. I'm a Nicolas Sparks fan and I love this one. I love all things c country and so it was great to see iMovie the Incorporated a lot of my favorite elements. Nicholas Sparks has a thing for old love and new love. I really like how he intertwines his stories with different sets of characters and different time periods. The chemistry may have been a little off between the main two characters, in my opinion, but Scott Eastwood is definitely easy on the eyes. :-)

I saw the reviews for this movie and since I enjoy most of Nicholas Sparks books I took a chance and bought this from Best Buy. The purchase was a good choice and Best Buy was a good place to buy it. There prices are very reasonable and they were extremely helpful in finding this movie for me. I didn't want it in Blue Ray and the salesman had to seach through their store room just to find it for me. I will go back to their store again.

If you have liked any other Nicholas Sparks movie, you will love this one. I have watched it several times, and would watch it several more times. Two people from opposite sides of the social spectrum fall in love and almost don't make it, then get everything they could have ever imagined. It's a heart throbbing climax into a perfect finish. You will never be sorry you bought it.

I read the book before watching the movie which I believe is something you should do! Although the book and movie will always be different, whether it is this book or any other book, I loved this movie either way! Scott Eastwood is the perfect actor to play Luke and Brett Robertson was the best actress to play Sophia! I would recommend this movie to anyone who wants to watch a movie about true love!

The scenery is about how one old mans love story from the past brings another love story from the present together. The Bullrider must choose between his career & risk dying if he gets hit again by another bull to save the family ranch or give it up for the girl he falls in love with? The girls love for art & her entwined story with the old man saves them all in the end giving them their happily ever after.

I can't say enough about this movie, It's GREAT, love everything about it. And the similarities between the two love story's as they play out are absolute romance at it's best, And Ira's words at the end during the auction, Pure Love at it's best! I gave a copy to My most Special Love, and even got a copy for another friend.

I may have given this movie a higher score but the shower scene was not necessary to the plot and makes it so that I don't want to watch the movie with company, especially children. I don't know why directors and producers feel it is necessary to put nudity into a film that is good enough to stand on it's own merit. I could recommend this movie to a friend, but only if I warned them about the shower scene, especially if they have young/er children.

A very interesting movie. I loved the two romantic stories, the similarities and parallel issues with the relationships, sacrifice and art. Scott Eastwood is almost identical in looks as his dad; there is one scene where he says something to the effect that "There's more bull**** here than where I work." that was totally out of the Clint Eastwood playbook. Funny and charming movie.

Bull riding? Sappy love story? I bought this movie as a compromise with my girlfriend; I wanted a suspense movie, she wanted this one ... I bought both. Turns out I enjoyed this movie quiet a bit. Bull riding is a background thing not shoved in your face, same with the love story stuff typically forced on the viewer in love stories. This movie has a good amount of dialog, good acting, and character storyline. I'm glad I bought it.
