"The Machinist" is such a great film. When the movie ended, it literally blew my mind and all the pieces of the story began to fit together. Basically as a psychological thriller the movie did its job and executed it very well. Christian Bale did an amazing job acting and shockingly went to extreme lengths to prepare for this role, which was amazing by the way. This movie also looks absolutely clear on Blu-ray. Overall, I highly recommend this movie to anyone and especially to anyone who's a Christian Bale fan.

Christian Bale's acting in The Machinist is simply superb. His portrayal of a sleepless man sinking further and further into instanity is completely believable and even understandable. The amount of dedication he has as an actor is quite apparent in his physical apparence. Pretty amazing that he went from this skinny to Batman.

This was a fantastic movie where the lead character slips into the darkness because of a secret from his past. I loved the dedication of Christian Bale who absolutely pours his heart and soul into the darkness that surrounds him.

Congrats to Bale for weighing 119 pounds but the movie was slow moving to say the least
