If your a fan of western genre then this movie is for you. New western movies are few and far between. It is a good remake of the original. Denzel Washington handles the Yul Brenner role beautifully .

I bought this as a gift for someone that asked for it. I saw it in theaters and while it is a fun movie, it doesn't hold a candle to the original. The audio and video quality are very good.

I have heard about the original movie for years, but had never actually seen it. The storyline is great and keeps you watching the whole thing.

I was pleasantly surprised with this remake. The cast have great rapport and feel authentic. The story is still good with a nice tweak here and there. Overall a solid effort.

Good westerns are becoming more and more infrequent nowadays. This is a great reminder of what a classic western can be. Engaging story, even for a remake. Good humor. Great acting.

Might even be better than the original. It has been awhile since I've seen the original, so...will rewatch and confirm. Nonetheless, a great movie!

If you have seen the original you will love this remake just as much. Love western movies and this one is another big one on my list.

Another movie that we saw at the theater and wanted to be able to watch it at home. We are big Denzel Washington and Chris Pratt fans.

Nice remake of the original. Star filled cast full of action. This version includes the digital version which allows for Mobile viewing without the need of the physical DVD.

The Magnificent Seven is one of the all time favorites for old western movies. If you like the old classics this DVD is a must.

Denzel is awesome in this film as a gun slinger. I really enjoy the original film but this one is really close to being as good!

The movie, The Magnificent Seven is a very entertaining movie. I would definitely recommend the purchase of this movie.

‘The Magnificent Seven’ brings together all you'd want from a great Western – a talented ensemble cast, well-choreographed action sequences, beautiful desert vistas, and of course a rousing musical score featuring the theme from the acclaimed 1960 version. It’ll make you reach for the skies like it’s high noon…with happiness! Well, maybe that's a bit much, but I think you'll enjoy yourself. The cast shines brightest of all the elements the film brings to the table - especially when it comes to its two stars Denzel Washington and Chris Pratt. Washington brings the intensity and poise you expect of hardened bounty hunter Sam Chisolm while Pratt delivers the laughs as he transitions from space cowboy in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ to actual cowboy without losing a beat. It seems that director Antoine Fuqua is perhaps tapping into some of that Marvel superhero magic with his approach to characterization as each of the Seven is distinguished with a particular fighting skill (master with knives, bows, explosives specialist, etc). The story is serviceable as the Seven attempt to take back a small mining town from the clutches of an evil band of thieves lead by Bart Bogue (a nice turn from actor Peter Sarsgaard). While never dull, much of the movie is setting the pieces in place for the final 40 minute confrontation pitting the Seven and the townsfolk against Bogue’s army of hired guns. Fuqua certainly knows how to stirrup compelling action sequences as he displayed in past works like ‘Training Day!’ While perhaps not a classic for the ages, this is spectacular entertainment that’s certainly worth saddling up for and heading down to the theatre. Giddy up!

A new version of Japanese tale. Well acted with believable characters. Worth watching just of some of the actors performances.

This movie has a good plot and a star studded cast, but for some reason, it left me wanting a little more like something was missing. Still a good movie though

In some ways better than the original (which was great) and some ways not so much. Over all it was exciting and fun to watch. Always like Denzel Washington.

Liked this better than the original, don't expect continuous action, but still a very good watch if you like Westerns.
