Awesome movie and another steel book for our collection

We watched and enjoyed action pack adventures in it!

The first Maze Runner movie was enjoyable, but it seemed to fit the children/teen viewership better than for adults. This sequel however, it tailors more to the adult viewership. It was very different from the first in the sense it changed the environment to something that feels more like Resident Evil with a Hunger Games type ultimatum. Some of the acting could be better for the main roles, but there's some great supporting actors in the movie that help it to hold up more. I feel this action/adventure type of movie is a must watch and must own. I think it would be enjoyable for the whole family, but make sure you watch the first Maze Runner movie before watching this one. There are more sequels on their way and keep in mind that this series is based on the books.

The first one was ok. This one was worse but I powered through for the special effects. I've already bought Death Cure but I'm not ready to suffer through it just yet. I think I'm way too old for this.

“The Scorch Trials” picks up mere minutes after the first film ended, as protagonist Thomas (Dylan O’Brien) and his band of fellow teenage “Gladers” are transported by helicopter to a remote fortified outpost. The group — also comprising Ki Hong Lee, Dexter Darden, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Alexander Flores and Kaya Scodelario as Teresa, the last film’s lone femme — has just escaped from a maze full of monster machines created as a test by the shadowy WCKD organization, which hopes to harness their immunity to “the flare,” a zombie-like virus that, along with an actual solar flare, has left the world barren and inhospitable.

After seeing the Maze Runner, I was excited to see the next chapter of the story. It got a little far fetched and not as good as the first one. That being said, it was still enjoyable, and I liked the movie, but it didn't live up to the expectations I had for it. So like anything, if you go in thinking it is going to be okay, but not great, you can be pleasantly surprised. If you go in expecting the same greatness of the Maze Runner, you will find yourself where I am, being happy I saw it, but not going to be one I have to rewatch...

I absolutely loved this movie! This is the followup to the movie "The Maze Runner" which I also thought was brilliant, but the main highlight of the movie is the acting of the very talented lead Dylan O'Brien. You may also know him as Stiles, form the MTV show "Teen Wolf." He does such an amazing job of making you believe he is in the position being portrayed on the screen, not only in this film, but in everything i have seen him in. If you are also a fan of his, I recommend you check out the 2012 film "The First Time." He does such an amazing job in this romantic comedy, and really makes you fell for the character he portrays.

Actually bought this for my son but I appreciate the help that the employees gave me in locating the Blu-Ray. System showed 4 in stock but we couldn't find it on the shelf with all the other Blu-Rays. Found the DVD and the 4K versions but no Blu-Ray. They checked the back and still nothing. Finally after about 20 minutes of searching, it was found among the Disney animated movies, shelf tag and all. Totally out of place but appreciative of the helpful staff.

After being pleasantly surprised by the first movie, I was excited about the follow-up, but with natural hesitation to the fact that most 2nd movies are disappointments. Not this one. While not quite as good as the first, it was a very good continuation movie. A few more slower areas in this one where one might start to fade slightly, but pulls you back just before you're gone. Not a five star movie overall, but a strong four. Looking forward to the next one now.

The story is much lighter this time out, but Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials nevertheless improves upon the first movie. The world is bigger, the stakes are higher and there's a lot more to sink your teeth into. While some of the characters don't really click -- most notably the bad guys -- the visual scope and exploration give the sequel some much-needed breathing room. It's still easy to draw comparisons to other young adult fiction like The Hunger Games and Divergent, but unlike the first Maze Runner, this second installment stands apart.

I love the Steelbook versions that BestBuy sells from time to time. I must say, some have been rather plain. Just a metal boxes version of the Blu-Ray. But these are pretty slick. The first movie was released along side this version and they both sport the same look albeit different to denote the fact that it's parts 1 & 2. 2 is better then 1 but both movies are pretty good. If you can and you care about how your movies look when you display them. Try to get them in this steel book version. They are really cool.

I loved this movie. The story, the effects, the acting and the characters where all excellent. As far as this actual product. I really like the Steelbook. However, the picture is a bit deceptive. It says at the bottom "Unrated Directors Cut". There is not DC, and the actual Steelbook does not say this on it, it's the PG-13 (only) version. Still very much worth the purchase. 9.5/10

i'm glad that bestbuy is releasing more and more steelbook blurays. not only that they went back and released the first movie on steelbook 2 days prior to this films bluray release! awesome decision bestbuy! i picked up both and am very pleased. love how the front of each steelbook for this film tells a story. love the steelbooks. well made. just take extra care when shipping them to your customers bestbuy. dont want any dents on them, especially for collectors like myself.

I really liked the first movie and at the end, it left you wanting to know what was going to happen next. This is the movie that explains it. It is a middle movie, since i believe they are making another one, so it is one that picks up where the first one left off, then doesn't really have a solid conclusion since there will be a third. If you get the first one, you will want to get this one.

Interesting story but still trying to decide how much I like the series. Maybe a one-timer.

The sequel to one of my favorite films does not disappoint. Dylan O'Brien does a wonderful job yet again and this movie keeps getting better and better. I love The Scorch Trials because of the pacing, characters, locations and plot. The villains are pure evil and they actually believe they are doing good. Thomas must save his friends and protect them against Wckd who is responsible for all the evil done to these kids. Definitely a must buy.
