Although somewhat large (it barely fits into my current backpack; no complaints - I wanted the larger screen), it's incredibly lightweight. However, this thing is quite the workhorse. I picked this particular model because of the balance between the price point and the processer/RAM/graphics card. It would have been nice to have at least a 1tb drive, but external storage options satisfy the issue.
Graphics and videos play easily with no lag. Windows startup occurs in seconds, and applications & files in less time. Sound is OK, but nothing a good Bluetooth speaker can't help with. The steelseries Per Key RGB keyboard is a delight; I can set different color/effect/key configurations based on which application I am currently using.
The GE75 Raider also has decent battery life - with general work, web surfing, and even video & music streaming, I get about 5 hours between charging on this battery; I have not yet tested the battery with any serious gaming. I purchased this one after returning an MSI GF75 because I barely got an hour out if its battery without doing much of anything,
Overall I'm very happy with this purchase.
