I bought this though I had read bad reviews on it. I’m glad I went ahead and got it. I enjoyed it, and thought it was very entertaining. Is it perfect? No. I think they would have done better with it, if they played more straight forward and took out the comedy elements. The 4K transfer is really good. Very sharp and detailed. Overall, a pretty descent movie with a great video presentation.

This isn’t a masterpiece but is a very popcorn style fun movie. I liked the gender difference of the mummy. Fun stuff!

A Wrinkle in Time is a great fantasy movie. Well acted and keeps the attention. Oprah did a good job in her role.

To be honest I actually thought this movie would have been alot better.. to me it was just ok. I like Tom Cruise but not one of his better movies.

People are so spoiled and techno-wise about how movies should be made and played. Just enjoy the films for what they are. There was nothing wrong with this film. I enjoyed excitement, (which wasn't over the top) and the absence of a profanity riddled script. Maybe the problem for some people is trying to see Cruise as someone other than Ethan Hunt. There have been mummy movies since Bella Lugosi days and a lot of them not so hot but to me this is a better adaptation thanks to the special effects and the seasoned actors. Don't let the couch critics be kill-joys and just enjoy a nice flick. Every movie is not an Oscar potential or bust occasion.

The Mummy Is a horror classic that's been around since movies was shot in black & whites. The original was betrayed by the lamented Boris Karloff who has his mark on cinematic history with his performances as the for most recognizable horror characters of all time. So It's no small wonder that there's a very large fan base of the film classic. Most of which are some of today's rather well known actors & actresses who are in there 50'S. Tom Cruise being of the many who'd jump at the opportunity to pay homage to a film classic has tried his hand at bridging the gap between the former successor of The Mummy and some of the present day versions we know and love. I would've given this movie 4 stars for the story line, entertaining dialogue and special effects. But it was kind of spoiled with the cameo of Doctor Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. The concept of the film was lost in translation by doing so and it basically played out as more of a distraction than a surprise element. Though it was fun to watch and a movie the whole family could see it didn't make up for the long awaited come back some of us had hoped for.

I saw the movie in the theater, and I love it. I agree it could be better, but its not as bad as some are trying to make everybody think. I just hope it gets more support so Universal (Comcast) keep the Classic Monster Universe alive, and make the rest of the planning movies.

Movie was on sale and in Blu-Ray format which definitely influenced my decision to purchase this movie. I also like Tom Cruise and am a big fan of mummy movies. This movie is fast paced and kept my interest throughout.

None of the original Mummy movies were knocking down the door to get an Oscar, but they were entertaining and the cast worked. This movie carries on that tradition adequately, and looks and sounds very good on 4k media.

I've seen all of the Brendan Fraser Mummy Trilogy movies, which I love, and this new mummy movie kicks the awesomeness into a more modern, crazy & exciting drive! Tom Cruise does some good acting & his usuall running like in most other of his movies, but the Mummy is beautiful & she is worth watching while creating massive mayhem at this Earth. Spectacular! I loved it!

A new start on the old trilogy without Brendan and cast. Cruise being the headliner, while he did well, it's now a Tom Cruise movie/series, and it would have had more lasting power/sequels with another actor.

People hated it but it was a good start to a much bigger dark universe that universal was intending to build w/ all the classic monsters!! 4K visual effects were stunning & seemless!!

I know the critics didn't rate this movie very high but I thought it was a pretty good movie I just wish the critics would have rated it better so that yhere would have been a part 2

A re-imagining of the Mummy story. Overall an enjoyable film that looks great on 4k, even if it is an upscale transfer. It may have fared better with a different title name.

I was impressed with all the cool and awesome animation and VFX by the CGI team. The animation and VFX made the movie so much fun and entertaining for me to watch.....

This is a good movie I feel is judged harshly, while it does have its flaws the world it was setting up could have been very interesting given the chance.

This movie has a great story line and makes you wonder will there be another, but I hope not they should end good movie's with the audience using their imagination.

Tom Cruise and Sofia Boutella shine in this modern interpretation of a Universal Film classic. "The Mummy" (2017) contains both the humor and adventure of the Brendan Fraser "Mummy" 20+ years ago, but is scary and suspenseful, too. I look forward to the next Dark Universe installment.

There's a reason why Tom Cruise remains relevant in the world of action movies. This movie is one of them. I found the movie entertaining.
